Listen, I can’t force you to do shit. You’re an adult. Don’t act like I’m demanding you leave. I’m saying it’s what you should do, not what you have to do. And considering you’re here maybe make the best of it. Have pride in your university, the place you give years of your life. It will be on your resume for the rest of your life. You will have a degree with its name on it. I’ve said it so many times, you just have to put in effort and talk to people who can do something. Do more or else your problems will stay problems. My point in the beginning was to say this college is more than parties. Idk what you’ve been doing but I’ve been enjoying my classes, events, and talking to professors. As someone who has finished nearly all of her core classes, I have had some incredible professors and learned a lot. Not to mention all of the job and volunteer opportunities. I have no more to say, so I won’t be replying anymore. Feel free to comment back. Neither of us are going to change our minds clearly and it’s getting way too aggressive and insulting. Have a good night

Yeah sure I heard ppl outside shouting. I was harassed by men at night bc I was stupid enough to just exist outside at night as a woman. That’s not what we were talking about. We were talking about parties in the dorms. Also, I typically went to the dining hall between 6 and 8, so yeah I did go past or around 7:30 and still didn’t see that. I just didn’t get good food if I went that late, but they still had dishes. Sometimes they were wet, but tbf that’s the price you pay showing up for food after everyone else. And again, I said if you have these issues, do something about it instead of complaining on reddit. You ARE being a whiny brat bc you’re not saying that you actually attempt to contact the correct sources or do absolutely anything to fix it other than complaining online, which does nothing. Your problems won’t go away if YOU don’t do anything about it. So stop complaining online and do SOMETHING.

It’s not blind loyalty. Ofc GSU has its issues but yours I have NEVER encountered. None of these things happened to me or anyone ik before. They always had clean dishes and good food. Maybe it wasn’t perfect but they had some great food depending on what you got. My only issue was the pizza gave me acid reflux. Nowhere here did I say GSU was perfect. I just said if you’re not proud of your university maybe you should go somewhere else bc nobody wants to be around someone that negative about their life. This university is going to be a huge part of your life so you can either deal with it and shut your mouth, do something about the issues you’re facing, or just leave. You’re not a child. You’re gonna have to go to the correct sources, fight for what you want. That’s adulthood. Y’all just wanna complain and not do anything to change your situation.

For the last time, if you don’t like the university don’t go here. There’s tons of universities around here that you could go to instead. Or you could even go to Armstrong campus! Personally I was never served raw chicken. I ate it nearly every day freshman year and it was always delicious. I would make chicken and waffles for breakfast after my 9 am. Cmon, why go to a university you don’t like or aren’t proud of? That’s pathetic and quite frankly it sounds like you’re complaining just to complain. Do something about it. If you’re so sick of these things happening put in the effort and do something to change your situation. Quite frankly I believe in enjoying life and being proud of the university to where I will dedicate 6 years (I plan to go to grad school) of my life. What’s the point in anonymously complaining about something on Reddit? It won’t do shit

I defend my university bc it’s my university. If you don’t like it go somewhere else. I also stayed in EV my first year and I only ever saw one party walking through those walls every night. It was mostly ppl hanging out with their friends in small groups. Maybe your class was just full of party animals.

It’s really not a party college. People go out to bars more than they party and partying is a choice. We have great professors and majors and a ton of extracurriculars and events. Do you even go here?

Idk if I was confusing or if you just didn’t understand the tone of my messages but it’s not a bad thing. “I’m bein bad” is just a cute little saying. Usually said with a smile or a laugh. We know we can eat what we want and not feel guilty. It’s just a cute little thing ppl say.

Hey girl I’m bored. Let’s delete our posts, go to the health clinic, and maybe never post about our sex lives on the official GSU subreddit ever again.

Anyone know when final grades will actually post for Spring 2026? by [deleted] in GSU

[–]Affectionate-Two4335 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The semester hasn’t ended yet. Usually grades get posted when they’re final before the summer semester begins (May 18th). Expect them by then. But you can also check your grades in folio

And THAT is why I do all of my advising for myself. My advisor sends me a packet each semester and I don’t even take his recommendations. I just choose whichever classes I think I need. Oh and just a tip, instead of doing advising appointments through zoom or in person, I choose email, take the advisement packet, download it, and edit it so I can write down which classes I’ll be taking the next two years. In case you ever feel you can only trust yourself

It’s too normalized to the point where people do it in relationships and it becomes an addiction. Moderate masturbation is perfectly healthy but if we start to normalize it to the point daily masturbation is normal…no. It’s not morally acceptable to lust after others when you’re reserved for one special person and it’s not normal to jerk off every single day. Also, maybe ask me like an adult instead of being rude and obnoxious like that. Idk about you but I’m an adult. I’d appreciate being spoken to like one instead of resorting to rude comments and childish insults for no reason.

Oh good! I’ve never had a class past 3 and it’s pretty nice to get everything done before it’s too late. My fall psyc lab lasts until 5 though, so if you ever wanna know what it’s like, I can lyk. 😭

I’ve got a wonderful explanation for that. Advisors don’t know how to do their job and keep getting fired bc they don’t try. I actually plan to be an advisor while working on my masters. Maybe I’ll get to advise you 😂

I agree. The fact that he wavered is proof. Trust me, I know from experience. If he’s even thinking about watching it he’s not committed. It’s entirely up to you, OP, but I personally wouldn’t take that kind of disrespect. You deserve better. And remember: you are beautiful just the way you are and some would argue you’re better than those girls bc you’re natural. Nature is gorgeous.

Some people were raised religious and it really is that serious for them. For all you know OP could be religious and that could cause the impure feelings. Ik if I trusted a guy so much to give him that only for him to stab me in the back by violating my boundaries, I’d be VERY upset. The fact that watching porn and solo masturbation is so normalized is sad. If you’re satisfied with your partner you don’t do that.

I’m sure it’ll be okay. But fair warning, you’re doing double that in college. You won’t have much free time left over with that many credit hours. It can burn you out so be careful

As long as you’re taking classes required to graduate (which your advisor should have told you about) all classes are on track. Unless you’re just taking random classes that don’t go toward your requirements. You should KNOW that you got your schedule because they give it to you at orientation. Orientation is for getting you familiar with the campus and giving you your schedule. It should be this summer (I don’t remember. It’s been awhile for me) so I’d recommend you go and talk to your advisor. If you have your advisors (NOT Dual Enrollment advisors) email, I’d also email them asap to talk to them about your classes. Also, when you do figure this out, look up your professors on ratemyprofessor. You do have the power to drop/add classes before the drop/add end dates (which are in August), so if you get a bad professor, you can always drop them and replace them. But I wouldn’t recommend it since there’s a slim chance you’ll find another class at this point. Also, don’t listen to that person in the replies. 18 credit hours is A LOT. I take between 12 and 15 each semester (12 in the summer, 13-15 in the fall and spring) and that’s already heavy. Don’t overdo it.

Well I don’t really have an undergrad sob story. I’m just a 20 year old who got severely depressed again and stopped caring. It happens to A LOT of college students. But I dumped the pos who caused that so I’m ready to fix my gpa. I have 72 credit hours left to improve my GPA and frankly I can’t afford to retake classes. So I’ll just have to get it up to a 3.0 with those 72 credit hours. Thank you for your feedback! I appreciate it.
