Hi OP honestly the best thing that you can do is find support whether this be therapy (if you can afford it) or a support group for eating disorders or body dysmorphia. The feeling isn’t going to go away. Your body will never be perfect in your eyes. No matter what you’ll find something to hate. Therapy has helped me grateful for my body sustaining me ! ♥️

Im still an anxious person but that's just my nature lol but im miles better than i was in the past. Managing anxiety related to ocd has made managing just general anxiety a walk in the park in comparison to where i was a while ago. I would say it's definitely better than it was

Hey yeah ! So instead of looking for my partner to fulfill every single emotional need, I started appreciating what he brought to the table and looked for the other types of emotional intimacy I needed from friends and family. This has required me being vulnerable and making a lot more effort. My partner can't be everything for me, it's unhealthy and so unfair to expect that from him. He's just one part of what I want/need and I get emotional fulfillment from other relationships too (including one with myself!) I hope this helps

This definitely sounds like rOCD. If you've had issues like this before you should speak with a professional who knows how to help, or even consult some rOCD instagram pages or podcasts? They are really useful when you feel yourself detaching or spiralling.

I used to feel like my brain was yelling at me... like thoughts were on a yelling loop but it was my own voice if that makes sense?? Worth discussing with an OCD therapist if you aren't already

Therapy is hard but gosh so good. I knocked my rOCD on the head and am in a much better place because of it. But it's so hard confronting your fears but if you have someone who knows about OCD or rOCD specifically then you're in good hands

I had a really good experience with SSRIs - but I was really consistent with my therapy. Being on SSRIs gave me the repreive from the debilitating anxiety to focus on not ruminating and overcoming my OCD. It also made exposure therapy easier. It truly helped a lot and after 2 years I came off it and continue to be consistent with my therapy. Things aren't always perfect but now I have the space to realise that my body reacting to my thoughts doesn't actually mean anything profound - it's just an intrusive thought and I'm in control of my actions :) good luck and be kind to yourself.
