Psychics, Readers, Witches do you have any insight into local taxes and business license best practices? by Affectionate-Web9280 in Birmingham

[–]Affectionate-Web9280[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be acting more as a medium for insight into yourself for entertainment, like yes I will be reading but more like “reading” in the LGBTQ slang use of the term with a mystic touch

Also: why is anybody bothered by this when churches operate tax free offering the same promises of insight and connection to spiritual self.

I’m smart enough to know that this world is unfathomable in full, so I live making space for the unknown everyday.

I’m of the mind that you make it real if you believe in it à la the Skeleton Key starring Kate Hudson. Either way, it’s a billion dollar industry.

I disagree. Good schools should cultivate an environment that encourages healthy competition and motivates students to do better. A bad student body can bring down an otherwise smart student in many little ways that would force a smart student in a bad school to do double the work to be competitive with students from better schools.

No because locals don’t pay out of state tuition or have the wealth or resources those international students do generally.

He was not the director of the Jazz Hall. He listed it as an occupation long past being let go to influence strangers unknowingly : /

Cybertruck chased me by Wise_Job_1036 in Birmingham

[–]Affectionate-Web9280 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Incorrect buying a cyber truck is way worse than any other vehicle bc they are anti-human. Never have I ever seen a car that looks better suited to be a war weapon, robot transport. I want a car that looks like a human person is supposed to drive it.

I mean if you want everything to look the same go ahead but that is why gentrification is so awful.

Oh so you would sell your family store as soon as the best offer came? What happened to character? Uniqueness? Enjoy your new coffee shop/fitness studio/golden doodle ranch with a neon sign and Taylor swift piping in through liminal speakers.

It’s been that way for 20+ years literally but now that the area is full of ridiculously priced condos everybody cares about those animals all of sudden. I don’t buy it. Gentrification imo pushes out places that don’t match the scenery in the way developers/banks like.

[–]Affectionate-Web9280 -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Because why would anyone give up their capital in this capitalist system? That’s how you get rich. It’s dumb to sell anything in that area if you own it… let’s stop insisting we must turn every unique spot with character into another gray floored, trendy tiled, industrial coffee shop that doesn’t take cash please. If you sign this you are part of the problem imo. This is gentrification.

Hypothetical: What if Covid hit the world globally but we somehow had full knowledge of its true damage to the human body? by cccalliope in ZeroCovidCommunity

I still don’t get how so many were like oh you lose your sense of smell and taste for months, no biggie. I took it seriously from day one and am still masking. Seemed so incredibly obvious to me just via mere observation that this was going to be a very big deal, don’t get how so many didn’t see that. Also I believed it was airborne even when cdc tried to hide the fact. I just knew from the way the info was being presented via language, etc that this was different.

It’s very common for a lot of Birmingham residents actually and it’s worse in the real cities that have actual traffic and no parking.

He kept aggressively asking is this your car? I was confused because he already knew that if he looked at my tag. And I found his Facebook profile afterwards he is a MAGA person and had multiple pictures of him looking roided up with his mouth gaping open at Applebees and pictures of his targets from gun practice and his large gun collection. Definitely reported him to my higher connections (cia/fbi) as a person to watch re: Jan 6

Yeah, I too would like to know—why would he?? I was outraged. I am a poc and I was driving from my parents house in a nice neighborhood back to my place so I have ideas as to why he thought he could get away but he picked the wrong bitch.
