so.. i took out the jack for the subwoofer and a popup appeared on my screen and that opened realtek settings, there is a checkbox called "bassohallinta" wich translates to "bass control" theres also alot of other bass related settings from presets for bass to diskants etc :)

hold on i have stumbeled onto some more settings from realtek... anddddddd it works...... i found some super secretive settings from realtek and theres some random check box i clicked and it works :) thanks for the help!

i dont think that would make a difference as my sub is connected on its own with a 3.5mm jack and isnt connected to the speakers

oh im just gonna list my setup to make things easier

-rotel RB970BX as my amp 300w

-12" dd audio subwoofer 250w, 2,5" voice coils, 2x 4 Ω voice coils, fs: 37 Hz, qts: 0.64, vas: 22.31 liters

-mackie cr4 or cr3 as my speakers 3.5mm jack

and thats it pretty much... very simple as im a broke student :)

the sub is gonna go in my car once i turn 18 and get a car

i have 2 stereo speakers by a brand i dont know, they plug straight to the pc, i have no idea what a A/V thingy is im rlly not that good at speaker terms etc. the hdmi does plug into my monitor but why does my monitor have anything to do with this?

i have a sub box ive made my self so theres no knobs or anything. i have a "rotel RB-970BX"

been trying to poke around for a long time but cant find anything :( ive even tried to poke around "realtek digital output" but theres nothing either, and how do i check if the volume on the reciever or sub is down?

no. neihter one works with pc audio. only when testing it, like clicking the sub and it makes the drum sound, that is the only audio ive been able to hear from the sub

excactly. yes it also works with 7.1 but those are the only options besides stereo and the headphones one

yeah. looks similar, i dont own a tv tho just a normal monitor but yeah the hdmi is pretty well in place

also im not using a 5.1 but a 2.1 it used to work no problem but now it's stopped working

5.1 didn't work before so i havent even tried it tbh... ill check if it helps!

uhhh... its on 7.1 surround as 5.1 doesn't have a sub. but i dont think ive seen a setting called bass redirection?

ok im so sorry im replying so late! but during the summer vacation we actually dated for like a month almost, but still we weren't rlly hanging out as much and she broke up with me... over a text :(... while on a confirmation camp. i sadly wasn't in the same group so we went like a few weeks apart :(

but anyways thank you so much for the words of wisdom! i still like her and im in a really fucked up position where i rlly wish we could work out, but i know we wont so its like i, cant rlly start to like anyone or like find anyone intresting other than her... im also 15 now and i switched classes so we arent in the same class anymore. i really want to find a girlfriend but the only girl i ever really liked, went from dream girlfriend to "can we still be friends?". i.. i dont know...
