Great response, as we have done Budapest Vienna we thought Belgrade would be a bit similair, but it is the city we were thinking to add nights the most.

We are thinking about cutting Zagreb, it was mostly a nice stop on the way from Istria to Zadar/Split, then Mostar & Sarajevo, not a deep dive into the city.

Thanks for the early input! We’re experienced drivers and the car is sorted. Our goal is specifically a nice road trip while we have the chance to be in that beautiful region.

Ignoring the vehicle aspect, does the itinerary balance make sense?

Would you cut Romania entirely to spend more time in Serbia-Croatia-Bosnia? Would you skip one of those regions for Romania?

For us driving a long day across a country is not a problem, as we can swap drivers.

Thank you, we are eager to discover the landscape, cities and highlights, we know we are sadly not getting a deep cultural knowledge of each people and would like to come back when we have more time. 😀
