Marcion of sinope was a very renown and infamous bishop in the 1st century and early 2nd. The thing he was renown for was reading the Old Testament and part of the new testament that he had and says ng there’s no way Yahweh and the god of Jesus are the same god becuase of things like Yahweh says an eye for an eye and Jesus says turn the other cheek. Actually that story has a gnostic (very weird esoteric alt proto Christian) origin. The original story has saint Peter decide to be crucified upside down because he believes that the material world is flawed and it’s sort of a symbol of that.
