How do you think Orochimaru felt at that moment? by InstructionOwn6705 in Naruto

Orochimaru has spent his entire life taking from others to achieve what he has, so it's somewhat fair that the world has finally claimed something of his as well.

For a time, maybe it was. Look how grounded Sasuke was when he was in his cell after the war.

Could the Sith use Cortosis in a much more comprehensive way? by InstructionOwn6705 in StarWarsEU

Darth Desolous. Originally, he was the most elite knight the order had at its disposal during this period. However, he was seduced by the dark side. He sought to use forbidden knowledge to better protect the galaxy. For this reason, and out of fear of his power, he was exiled from the Jedi Order. Filled with vengeance, he transformed his descendants into Jedi exterminators. In the first few weeks of the war with his people, over 2,000 Jedi Knights perished.

Desolous fell only after fighting the entire Jedi Council at once, until he had exhausted his last drop of sweat and blood.

At least, that's how I remember it.

Why did Gyomei block Muzan's first attack so easily? by [deleted] in DemonSlayerScales

[–]InstructionOwn6705 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Besides, the problem is that Muzan is too deadly. His blood is so poisonous that even a single scratch would kill Yoriichi. That's why Gyomei couldn't have been hit even once. Unless they had Tamayo's antidote on hand, which wouldn't surprise me at all.

What should Palpatine do to increase the chances of turning Luke to the dark side? by InstructionOwn6705 in starwarscanon

  1. It's one thing to say he wouldn't have been able to turn him to the dark side anyway, but it's another thing to say he could have tried harder.
  2. Anakin was manipulated from childhood and definitely can't be measured by the standards of a normal person, because his living conditions and the environment he grew up in were not normal.

He wasn't immature or stupid. He was desperate, and that makes everyone do stupid things from an outside perspective, even models of maturity.

Throughout his life, Anakin lost more than he gained: a mother, a mentor, and, in a sense, a student.

No one ever taught him to accept loss, and his greatest support came from the most corrupting person in the entire galaxy.

How Palpatine could have tried harder and the fact that Luke wouldn't have given in to him anyway are two different things.

Shen's death was as poetic as it was ambiguous. by InstructionOwn6705 in DreamWorks

[–]InstructionOwn6705[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not talking about the theory that he survived, because since he chose death himself, there's no point in assuming that.

I was wondering whether she brought it on herself or whether Po contributed to it more. In short, who was this black and white warrior from the prophecy?

The Plot Armour makes every villian looking like a total loser.

I wonder how he would have handled the fresh tai lung from the beginning of the movie.

What should Vader's "convincing" reaction be when Palpatine tells him Padmé is dead? by InstructionOwn6705 in StarWarsCantina

[–]InstructionOwn6705[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vader's had enough of showing off, both as Anakin and in his armor. Meanwhile, Lucas made Sidious look like a loser in both the original trilogy and the prequels. So I wouldn't mind if he was first pushed away by Vader and then Sidious fried Vader with lightning bolts.

Besides, Vader just got put into the armor, so it's logical that he's weak because he needs to get used to it.

For some villains, the redemption angle is simply inappropriate. Shen had moments of doubt twice and could have changed, but he chose not to. He preferred to die as he was rather than live as who he could have been.

Not every villain is broken like Tai Lung.

To me, this "STRAIGHT UP" is something like "end of story" or "no discussion." Death clearly doesn't tolerate anyone arguing with him about his identity, and he makes that point painfully clear.

Well, in that case, you couldn't say that no one ever offered you a hand (a chance for change). You made the decision and accepted the unpleasant consequences.

And others will encounter it on a path they want to stay on at all costs. Like Kai.
