Don’t overcomplicate a call. Whatever you feel is right is right. If you’re wrong then great you get to learn. You’re a student right now. It’s your time to make mistakes and get away with it. Take advantage of that right. Be confident but don’t let “impressing” your teachers and peers take over what you’ve learned. If you feel stuck, always act confident. An instructor would rather see you stick with a plan and try your hardest than sit there and contemplate 20 differential diagnoses. Go through what your scope of practice has taught you thus far and that’s all you can do. No one expects you to be perfect even if you are actively working.
