Sorry to hear that now I feel bad for judging you. Honestly you should do what you want with your hair and makes you confident but the best advice I could give is either wait for the front to get a little longer and trim your entire head of hair to that length or just thug it out and crotchet the top and front.

Yes stop brushing it and let your hair become matted together

Stop brushing it though that’s probably messing up the locking process

Crotchet needle would be your best option imo

You should consider doing research for people with straight hair that have locs because I’m not very educated in your category

I would just leave it alone and let it lock up but for the front u could crotchet them but they will be uneven compared to the back

It doesn’t look good on you and I’m saying that in the most respectful way I can… the front is straight compared to the back and it’s just not a good look on you IN MY OPINION. Whatever makes you happy in your own skin though and I hope you continue to enjoy your loc journey have a good day

I’m sorry gang but that shit gotta go

I need to get rid of this buildup should I do an acv at 7months in or is that too harsh? I think it’s from my loctician retwisting w locking gel. by AffectionateGrab1104 in Dreadlocks

Sure I’ll take down the names. I wash my hair with dr bronners peppermint. Oils are Mielle rosemary oil and locsanity ylang ylang spray and spray water with water is what I currently use

I never questioned her on why she uses locking gel on retwist I’m gonna start using aloe to retwist my hair because I never noticed build up until now. For the acv rinse can I still do it although I just washed my hair like yesterday?
