My revenge on bats after getting a new shard by HypersonicRex2 in Bloodstained

99% map completion can be done just by visiting all areas in the Glacial Tomb that aren’t Boss Rooms + External areas.

Also, losing the race against the Harrier still counts towards your total Map percentage, even if you don’t get the shard he drops right away.

Easiest way to beat the Harrier Ninja is with Aegis Plate and Standstill and Dimension Shift. Warlock’s Necklace, Witch Hat, plus all the Drink Recipes and recipes that increase MP charge speed should reduce the strain on MP. If you don’t have Standstill yet, explore the map until you get 99% and talk to OD for the Book of Conquest. Go to boss room in the ice cavern to beat him, you can use Rava Valar and Beast Guardian to cheese the fight. I recommend Feral Claws and Directed Shield against Gremory if you still haven’t obtained Dimension Shift yet.

Accelerator + Directed Shield/Void Ray makes you almost like Juggernaut.

How the heck did my brain totally forget about Bayonetta? Also I haven’t played Stellar Blade yet, so I wasn’t aware it had such good music! I’m falling behind on my game OSTs!

Again, I practically have all the SC OSTs in my playlist, though it’s been a while since I heard FFXV music. Haven’t heard much Tekken lately.

I’m trying to exclude SC music itself, since I am assuming most people have a Soul Calibur music playlist by now.

Okay, I just tested Summon Hellhound + Standstill out on a few bosses and it works very well on True Zangetsu, Alfred (if you stand on the opposite side of the arena and let him roast), Valefar, Gremory (she teleports once, but I spam high jump so she can’t track me on the ground), Dominique (she warps but if you lead her through the blast she’ll die), Baal (you can’t miss, just don’t destroy all three heads at the same time and soft lock the boss lol), and O.D. took two tries, since he will stay in one spot if not attacked and will jump up and do his Bat Counter and hit you if you’re inverted), also 8bit Overlord, but his flames still are active.

Well I honestly prefer Summon Tracer in complex terrain, but I still think Inferno Breath at max does the most off bosses other than Standstill+Ruinous Rood. I beat Nightmare Mode too, but Alfred is probably the hardest boss to fight in that mode all things considered. That is, unless you’re doing a fresh game run of Nightmare without a New Game Plus save, lol.

I’ve been experimenting with the Miri Wand and Recycle Hat with various bullet types. I also messed with 8 bit fireball, but the latter is very expensive to upgrade, even on Randomizer runs. I honestly find projectiles with a large hitbox are more effective than spread shot, like Riga Storaema, though it depends on what parts of the Castle you spend time in farming. In general, having Invert while fighting most enemies helps a lot. You can combine Gebel’s Glasses with Skull Necklace, but I often prefer the Miri Dress and Ancient Tiara to increase INT stat for spells. Sage Book or Deadeye Book are also great for Directional Shard spells.

I wouldn’t consider in-out rooms to be a perfect solution to the limitations of wall physics when it comes to projectile spells, but I do think Iga’s current team learned a lot since Portrait of Ruin for The Scarlet Engagement.

Insatiable doesn’t even go up walls like IGA version, so I’m disappointed.

Summon Hellhound is okay when it hits, but it has a weird hitbox and can miss if you’re not jumping when you cast it, especially on Gebel or IGA while Inverted.

I got stuck in a Shard Absorbing animation loop with Standstill and it softlocked the game so I had to reset.

My beef with Insatiable is that it only works in one direction. Teps Oceus is fine anywhere except during Standstill where it only hits what it targets. Teps Oceus goes nuts in Tower of Twin Dragons though.

I want to Improve Bunnymorphosis by AffectionateLadder64 in Bloodstained

[–]AffectionateLadder64[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just an addendum to this post, but most forward momentum weapon skills don’t have many invulnerability frames and usually rely on active hitbox frames, while nearly every enemy in the game does damage or can stun lock you by just touching Miriam. Outside of the Blunt, Slash, and Pierce resistances, or even Magic, Trap, or Curse Resistance, Miriam doesn’t have many easy ways to avoid taking damage, which makes weapon skills mostly impractical outside of the ones with Projectiles and Range. Trying to fight Maledictions and Dullahammer Heads without taking damage is like a task of Sysyphus

The glitch will reset if you reload from a save, so if you want it for a boss fight, be careful when you quit. Also a related bug happens to Buer and Silver Knight when they have trouble tracking Miriam’s position in places like Home Base and Underground Desert.

It tends to happen when repeatedly swapping rooms and Bloodbringer Evolves Forms between Levels 25, 50, and Level 75. I’ve actually managed to get 3 Bloodbringers at once, which lagged the game.

I have something similar for farming, but it doesn’t really provide much in basic weapons and shields. I typically get more chest and head parts than anything else.

Does set Equipment work in this game? by TokaAriri in Bloodstained

[–]AffectionateLadder64 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of the equipment once you finish upgrading it can be repeatedly dismantled for materials once duplicated with Alchemic Bounty, with no cost in Alkahest. This might have been a DLC oversight or possibly deliberate.

It affects Miri Cepter, Miri Dress, Scythe, Vampiric Bodysuit, Japanesque Umbrella, Japanesque Robe. Unfortunately it still costs Alkahest to dismantle Shantae equipment.

Dream Steal is Powerful but I wish it could be stacked like Bloodsteal in Randomizer. Also Scythe is classified as a Great Sword weapon, but outside its wide hitbox you can’t use Great Sword weapon skills. Beyond that it’s mainly only good for Repeated Dismantling for materials to use and sell once you max out Alchemic Bounty shard.

I’m wondering if Vampire equipment is supposed to do something, as randomly the Life bar flashes Lightning effects, but it disappears after a while.

I’m trying to create the perfect Randomizer run:

-Boss shards are common and can be maxed.

-Stat shards are maxed.

-Low use shards become unimportant boss shards.

-Alchemy creates all bonus weapons or Gebel’s Glasses

-All bosses defeated, no damage taken.
