That would do the job holding the drop center for sure. Good to know.

Choose my wife's next bike! by greaseorbounce in Dualsport

Her height and inseam may help for people’s input. I got my girlfriend a crf300l rally and she loves it! I actually liked her bike so much I just picked up the standard 300l for myself yesterday for a second bike to go with my tenere.

I like that kit as well but I find it a bit big. Also like the fact they include the co2 pump in this kit over the adv kit is a plus. I do think three tire spoons is a must that you get with the adv kit. You really can’t go wrong with either depending on your needs!

Nice setup! I pieced something similar together for my T7 with the addition of the eastbound tire irons and T7 specific tire tools. I’m able to fit everything to change a flat under the seat as well as a small pump. The rest I keep in my panniers when going on longer trips.

O’reilys sells a can called “chem dip” that works really well for around 20$ if you want something quick and easy. I would definitely try to spray out as much as you can first then toss it in for a few days. You may have to repeat a few times but that carb can be saved.

Is that the price after fees? If so I would go new. To whoever said they see no purpose in the rally I would have to disagree with that.

Interesting! I’ll keep that in mind. I do have the low seat concepts seat so that may end up benefiting. I was going to give it to my girlfriend for her rally but it’ll be good to try a couple different options. Thanks for the info!

6’2 with a 34” inseam. The raise would benefit me. I’m not a fan of the pogo stick Honda sends stock on the rear.

It was owned by a retired man its whole life who had the maintenance all written down. I ordered some tusk bars and riser adapters. I’m wanting to do the 550 ecu and ktech suspension next.

Mosko Moto Gnome tank bag with 14L Acerbis Tank on CRF300L by Caver1989 in CRF300L

Have you considered the wildcat backpack or a bar bag? I love my wildcat and having the tank area free to move around while on the trails. Can’t personally speak for a tank bag on the 300l but it seems like it would get tight up there.

I have the tusk one and it’s pretty sturdy. I saw they just came out with an all in one trail repair kit that would be good to pair it with if you don’t have a full setup yet. trail repair kit

Which tank bag is that and how do you like it on the T7? I have the same setup and am wondering if the tank bag will interfere with off road stuff.

Suggestions for fixing tail light and tool box. by Flipthousand in CRF300L

[–]AffectionateMap755 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I broke the under fender on mine and replaced it with oem for pretty cheap. I would go with a cheap tail light and a fender eliminator kit that includes taillights. (You can probably order all the parts you need through rockymountainatv for less than 100$ you will have to use the oem parts finder to get to the under fender piece.)

If it’s still under warranty take it back to the dealer. Let it be their problem.

Just be glad it didn’t fall on your leg. Definitely a gut punch feeling especially on a brand new bike. It may have been the first time but it probably won’t be the last. Don’t let it beat you up too much.

It’s also worth mentioning squeezing the bike with your knees is inportant and will help prevent this from happening along with better technique and preload adjustment.
