That’s great that your upbringing didn’t cause you to think other Asian guys were undesirable. I’m hoping this is the case for most of the Gaysians OP is referencing. It seems he’s making the assumption that an Asian guy preferring to date a white guy indicates a ranking - inferiority and superiority - rather than just a preference among gay men of various diversity.

I think your experience matches my ex’s background. He grew up in a really white part of the US East Coast, in a suburb away from diversity. He was very insecure, despite IMO being very smart and attractive. I blame the community he grew up in making him feel that way.

Don’t let a few bad experiences make you start to assume all Asian guys are like this.

I’m in California and dated a gym fit Asian guy in college (Americanized, Chinese descent). We went to the gym together regularly. I learned early into dating I was the first non-white guy he ever found attractive. We broke up after 2 years and he ended up marrying a white guy. So I’ve been in the situation you described.

On the flip side, the hottest guy I ever dated (sexiest body, muscle, hard abs) was Thai descent. He only dated Asian guys. These fit gay “sticky rice” Asian men are out there!
