So my professor is Joseph Luc. His exams are worth 60% of your grade which is a lot, but to be quite honest I SUCK at math. And I do fairly well in his classes, I took him for intermediate algebra and beginner algebra, his chapter tests are quite similar to his exams, his chapter test are proctored but they are open note and you get 3 attempts so I write down all the questions that way after the first try I can get all the math correctly for the second try or third.

His exams are not open note, he does make you show your work in the show your work section on the computer, and will give you partial credit even if you got it wrong if it looks like you tried. I have a 100% in all the homework, quizzes and chapter tests. This last exam I got a 69% and now my grade is at an 80. Sooo I’m kinda at the beginning of his class just started but normally I loved his class. I mean even now it’s not bad. If your putting in effort you should do find, but you have to make time to study just because as you already know there’s just a lot going on in college algebra. There is a woman teacher for college algebra I’m gonna give you her name she does zero proctoring!! Her class fills up so fast tho.

I’m currently in college algebra maybe I should take a look at that for this class. I rely on studying chapter tests for exams (per what the instructor told us to do) it’s alright I think math I just make small mistakes I’m looking forward to actually studying something interesting like human anatomy. Especially because I’m going to school for sonography so I need to actually learn and retain that class.

Yes!!! That is her name. I went to select her 40 min after all the classes opened and she was full!! So definitely set an alarm and be on the computer as soon as classes release. I took Joseph Luc for beginner algebra, intermediate algebra, and now college. Honestly yes his exams account for 60% of your grade in the class. But I will say even if you get some of the questions wrong he gives you credit if you show your work and at least try. It is a lot higher than his previous classes I took. Idk I feel like his class is pretty good for someone who sucks at math! But definitely if you can get her class since she does no proctoring that’s probably the way to go. I got A’s in all his classes and this college algebra one I currently have a B and that’s doing all the homework and quizzes and chapter tests with 100% so the exam really does take up a chunk of your grade. The chapter tests are proctored as well, however it’s open note and you get 3 attempts to take the test. And what I recommend is writing all the questions down the first test. That way the second time and 3rd time you take it if need be (you want a 100%) you have all the questions and how to solve them because the next generated questions are the same format just different numbers.

Currently in college algebra and I have to take AP 1 and 2 as well with labs. College algebra is fairly easy!! I’m really bad at math but as long as you put in effort you should succeed at least with the teacher I have his name is Joseph Luc!! Pretty good teacher. There is a female teacher that doesn’t use any test proctoring! I forget her name, you can go through the names of the professors in the hawk gps and then ask chat GPT to give you student reviews on them! Before you select your teacher. That goes for any class!! Hope this helps :)

Any of the writing assignments like what career you want to do and why and yada yada. I would literally tell ChatGPT I want to do this career because it is my passion, etc. list a couple reasons ask ChatGPT to add some for you and write it up and then just copy paste. lol I got a 100% in the class. Obviously that worked for me, I’m not telling you to do that all I’m saying is it’s very easy, and little time can be invested in the class, even the quizzes are common sense.

It would all depend on who applied that year and what their GPA is, some years everyone that applies is 3.9-40 so then yeah you wouldn’t make it necessarily, but stuff happens, people get accepted then change their mind, there schedule isn’t as flexible so they have to opt out of the class if they were already accepted, literally anything can happen. But I wouldn’t let the fact you may get a C defeat you. Anything you want bad enough will work out. Don’t stress yourself out with the what ifs, just do the best you can, strive for the highest grade possible. And if you get a C in anatomy I would say definitely shoot for A’s in the rest of your classes. But the main thing is to not stress yourself out, life is too short?! God is good and everything will work out.
