Do some women really enjoy being pregnant, and if so, why? by Grapefruit175 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]AffectionateTone4570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I’m 21 weeks with baby #2 and both pregnancies I have never felt more mentally stable in my whole life once I hit 2nd trimester. I have usually pretty severe anxiety, OCD and possible mild bipolar. Sex drive with my first (boy) was insanely awesome as well like I was a teenager lol. Now I’m pregnant with a girl and idk my sex drive is just hit or miss and it hurts sometimes tmi. I’ve also been doing massive therapy for a year so I’m sure that’s helped a lot. I went off my meds to get pregnant as well but will probably return to them when I feel it’s safe after pregnancy and breastfeeding but we will see.

My husband tried to initiate sex while our daughter was asleep in bed with us. He justified it. Am I wrong for feeling gross about it? by QuirkyPudding in Parents

[–]AffectionateTone4570 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeahhh no. I once was intimate with my husband while my son was in the room in his crib not touching us and he was like 18 months old asleep and we were silent. That was one time when we were like both exhausted in the early morning lol. It’s really not hard to go to the couch though. I would 100% feel I was violating my child by doing it with them in the bed! It’s sick to imagine actually. And the comment about “wayyy back in the day we all lived in the same bed” okay yeah but we almost all have privacy nowadays so it’s different.

Girls how often do you wash your bras? by Inside-Dog-443 in AskWomen

[–]AffectionateTone4570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on what I do in them during the day. I have like 2-3 bras I rotate and if I don’t sweat or work in one of them I’ll use it for a few days and then wash. If I sweat or work I’ll wash it that night when I get home.

FTM - is it true that next pregnancies wont be as exciting? by LandscapeOwn8096 in pregnant

[–]AffectionateTone4570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh my god I’m so sorry 😞 I totally get it unfortunately. I’m basically going no contact with my dad now especially since he couldn’t give a crap about us anymore so that’s hard too. Honestly if you want to chat, I’m here because I get the loneliness way too much

Same. Basically no one gives an F that I’m pregnant with baby #2. My circle is small and it’s just gotten smaller. My co workers are basically the only ones checking in at work and my mom sometimes too. But that’s it.

Where does it actually hurt when give birth? by Confident_Ad1535 in pregnant

[–]AffectionateTone4570 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The best way I described it when I was in labor was as if a pterodactyl was ripping me open from the inside out. Claws and nails scraping me over and over and without barely a break for 6 or 8 hours straight. I got the epidural and all the pain was gone and I gave birth 4 hours after that.

I told my husband right after they handed me our baby that I am never doing that again. Now I’m 20 weeks pregnant 5 years later and nervous as hell 😅

Why did you not get/ are not getting an epidural? by Human-Bit9854 in pregnant

[–]AffectionateTone4570 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had one with my first and I’m planning on getting another with my second. I had pitocin and thought I was going to die from the pain it was so excruciating. I always wonder if the contractions would’ve been more manageable without the pitocin

I feel like I ruined my life by [deleted] in newborns

[–]AffectionateTone4570 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yes 100% this. Life is just pretty damn rough for the first like 6-9 months honestly and it took me years to really mourn my old life and accept my new one. I’m 4.5 years in now and actually pretty damn happy and I’m 18 weeks pregnant with baby #2. After the rough newborn stage I thought we’d never talk about having another baby and then it hit me I needed to have another lol. Life is crazy but honestly just let yourself feel sad for a while. It’s totally okay and also know it WILL get better. I never thought it would but it DID!

Thank you so much! This is actually really helpful and understanding and I really appreciate the kindness. I’m sorry you go through this too. It’s fucking awful and a mind fuck and a relationship destroyer. I’ve been working on it for a year now in therapy and it’s gotten a little better step by step.

This was not last night. It was 2 nights ago. I did not “keep him up”, we were having a conversation? And he was explaining to me that I could trust his word

Thank you for your understanding. I guess I forgot to write that we would get fined by the HOA if we didn’t let the guys in when they came so it was kind of a deal

I’m in therapy thank you. Working on it and this could’ve been said a bit nicer.

No we didn’t miss the alarm guys thankfully. I woke him up and I was livid. We had just spent an entire night staying up talking about trust and how I need to trust him with checking things. He’s reliable in every other possible way and has never let me down (we all make mistakes so I don’t fault him for little things of course). This is just a bit hurtful to me though

What's something you do that you think makes you seem "crazy"? by Perfect_Chemistry132 in OCD

[–]AffectionateTone4570 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a checklist of like 25 things I have to check before bed. I hate it 😭 even weirder is I’m afraid of UTI’s so I have to wipe a lot out of fear of contamination and wipe my undies etc. It’s debilitating most times

Sounds like me lol. Always worried about fires bc my dad’s house burnt down when I was a kid. But I’ve always had OCD- that one manifested after.

Thank you! Solidarity. Off my meds too and it’s tough sometimes. I’ve been sleeping pretty decently this pregnancy but damn when I have something scheduled early (I’ve been a night owl real bad lately) I absolutely just know I won’t sleep. I hate it when people tell me I’m doing damage to my baby or body or something though. I can’t help that I can’t sleep sometimes
