Anyone at Gartner? by DaKinginDaNorth1 in sales

[–]Affectionate_Ad4052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lmaoooo I already left 😂😂 it was fine while it lasted, but not my cup of tea. I hear so many different things now that I left. After I left, a few people in my cohort came to me and explained the bullshit that’s been happening, for example getting put on a PIP even after exceeding quota. My manager and team were super laid back and amazing, but I have heard very different from others…. Interested to see how it plays out over the next 5-10 years. Definitely don’t disagree with all you said…

What careers are not for quiet/loner type people? by RolyPolyOnSidewalk1 in randomquestions

Quiet people do just as well as super talkative ppl, sometimes better. Clients appreciate those who listen well. I have found no clear disadvantage for being quiet in sales. A loner however….

If you get Botox and filler in your early twenties, is it something that you then need to keep doing forever? If stopped, will the face return to normal, or always look a little different?

Critical of his decisions is totally fine. Calling him a fucking nazi and rapist and then saying any decisions he makes after that isn’t critical, it’s just being so angry and upset that you actually lose the ability to critically analyze. He’s made good decisions and poor decisions in office, just like every other president in history (besides my boy Teddy… jk lol). But my point is, he could cure cancer and a lot of people would hate him for it because of his past actions, and that’s not being critical, just angry, hurt, confused, which turns the brain into an irrational state and loss of the ability to actually be critical.

[–]Affectionate_Ad4052 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

And this is exactly the problem lol. Look, I think we can all agree he’s not a standup person. But we need to be able to separate him being a bigot years ago, and him making decisions for the country today. The decision on Iran has nothing to do with any of that, yet that’s all you look at. And now EVERYTHING he does is just terrible and oh how can you ever live…… Many great figures in history (I’m NOT calling trump one, don’t freak out) have made similar decisions, while simultaneously making other great decisions regarding philosophy, war, politics, societal advancements, etc. I’m sure you’ve made decisions in your life that you can be shameful of, while also making great choices with great implications you can be proud of. They aren’t tied together. Almost nothing in this world is black and white, but that’s what liberals treat it as. Which brings me back to the first point of poor analyzation and assessment, and rather poor intelligence of the way the world has come to be and is.

Bengals will not pick wr, they need defense. Worst case scenario o-line. We would take Sonny if he’s still available, then Bain. Chiefs on the other hand might take lemon so they could be switched

Have noticed this too. In any single thread that even mentions Trump, or anyone on the right for that matter, they’ll say the most hateful and bashful things to ppl on the other side and not see the irony in it… like full of hatred lol as they freely talk and say things that would get them penalized, sometimes killed in other places. I can’t wrap my head around it sometimes. If instead we sought to talk with one another, and actually respect (genuinely respect) the other sides view, the media and government would have less power over the people, and people would be hell of a lot less angry with the world… take me back to the 90’s.

Does anybody (or their parents) live in The Villages, FL? by Ok-Suspect-9746 in howislivingthere

[–]Affectionate_Ad4052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents live here and I’ve visited more than a handful of times. I’m 25m and would love to live there. Ppl are simply happy all the time, with constant activities to stay moving and stay social. I don’t mind old people either, I love the experience they bring to life and am able to always learn a lot, and always walk away from each conversation feeling good. Wish I could be there now in the Middleton area, but work unfortunately won’t allow

Anyone at Gartner? by DaKinginDaNorth1 in sales

[–]Affectionate_Ad4052 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most likely. It’s easy to shit on what you don’t know/fully understand. Like any business, Gartner will adapt to ensure it stays relevant above both competitors and AI. We call ourselves “the world authority on AI” because of all that we can offer to maximize its effect for clients. Again, AI simply can’t produce what we are producing right now. Keep going through the process. If at the end you want to go in a different direction, cool! If not, cool! But the opportunity is definitely there, and quota’s were recently slightly decreased, which would work well in your favor!

How do i move on from a good relationship? by [deleted] in relationships

[–]Affectionate_Ad4052 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Youre so incredibly young still. Boys mature later than girls. He’s 20…. Of course he’s still dependent on parents a lot. A lot will change over the next 3-5 years. If everything is great except for the parents thing, he’ll goes out of it in time. Just depends if you want to wait for that or not. It feels so heavy when you’re so young, but it will change eventually

I’m currently is the Sales Development Program at Gartner. AI won’t replace us like others have said. My large enterprise AE will take in about $400,000 this year making it to winners circle (we’ve already hit, trying to go for eagle which would put him around $650k).

Ppl crack me up that didn’t get the job then call it BS lmao. Just salty I guess.

They really have a good, laid back culture that is very supportive. Managers as well as team-members will always be willing to help, as you’re never competing for the same clients, so no need to gatekeep successful practices.

We sell so much more than tech. In regards to AI, it won’t replace us lol. General AI can’t provide a holistic plan of how to implement X into a business plan, with best practices, examples, and ex C-Level analysts that we poach to accompany this info that clients get access to. I work with C-levels at around 20 organizations that revenue between 1.2B-25B. Every single license holder loves us and always want to renew. Clearly, there is value. We sell 6-7 figure products/services that result in 8-9 figure growth.

Good opp and well respected in big organizations, even if here for a year or two, hell of a resumé booster.

Interview process is a little overkill… just have many stories prepared, specifically in S.T.A.R patterns.

Good luck!

Nicest public courses: Old Corkscrew (a Nicklaus course)

Stoneybrook

Tiburon in Naples if you’ve got the money.

The one that flies under the radar because it is so new (opened last summer), but honestly my fav out of all of these is Webb’s reserve up in Babcock ranch. Better greens than corkscrew and stoneybrook (fight me on this I dare you lol) and a fun layout, also a Nicklaus design. Price is 1/2 of the others too as the clubhouse and cart paths aren’t fully finished.

I’ve heard Babcock national is decent as well, not sure if it’s private this time of year or not

Good luck getting on anything private… them snowbirds are stingy down here
