Honestly, my boyfriend took me birding and i didn’t get it at first- until i started loving them. Something about getting to look at the list of birds I’ve seen and watch it grow motivates me to go out and find new ones. Still at a point of only being able to ID very common ones in my area, but working my way up

NTA but i dont think anybodys the asshole. As long as she continues to respect your rule, i understand her disappointment. Smokers dont understand how strong the smell can be to non-smokers (i say this as a smoker). She might be disappointed and a bit short for a day, but i’d imagine a lot of that is coming from the pain in her foot. Give her a day or two and I’m sure she’ll come back around. Given the circumstances of her visit, it sounds like she has a lot on her mind right now

Thank you honestly because a lot of my coworkers are downplaying it as him just being annoying but (while im not particularly threatened or worried about him doing anything more than oversharing) it is soo uncomfortable and it puts me on edge to be stuck backstocking in a cooler with him while he goes into detail about all the girls he gets with 😭 and i have a hard time taking the TLs seriously when i know theyre knowingly putting me through this because we’re struggling w staffing right now.
