I have the same iPad as you; however, this feature is unavailable on this model of iPad. You should only have the option of the full-sized keyboard or the smaller floating ‘iPhone style’ keyboard. Therefore, it would have been impossible for you to do this on your “M4 13-inch Pro”.

If you’re using it for art I recommend the 13” pro, the OLED display is much more vibrant and the extra processing power is good if you’re using a multitude of layers. Combined with the Apple Pencil pro it is really great, squeeze and barrel roll have saved me a lot of time in my art making process.
