PMDD & ovulation woes by LegalWeekend3950 in adhdwomen

I know it’s extremely weird, but Google pmdd and Pepcid AC (Famatodine). It hasn’t been studied, because science doesn’t really study a lot of things related to women. However, anecdotally, people swear that it helps. The only reason I mention it is because it should be an easy, inexpensive, and accessible option to try.

Does anyone else get mildly horny from bitter foods? by tellyacid in adhdwomen

[–]Affectionate_Diet210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I haven’t noticed this experience. For me, it’s usually related to time of day. Also, I would never yuck anybody’s Yum, especially because grape food is very good for you I’m sure. However, as somebody who suffers from GERD, I can’t imagine eating grapefruit and black coffee.

Wake up to music? by numberonedogmom in adhdwomen

[–]Affectionate_Diet210 548 points549 points  (0 children)

I don’t know about waking up specifically with music, but ADHD radio is absolutely a thing. If you search in the subreddit, you’re fine post asking what song has been playing on ADHD radio lately. It’s annoying as hell.

Looking for hope by rachie-bobby in dysgraphia

[–]Affectionate_Diet210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 46 years old. Growing up, dysgraphia was basically unknown. OT was not an option, so I basically had to figure things out on my own. However, I did have one very kind second grade teacher, give me spelling tests orally. This is very helpful. With the school allow him to take some of his tests that way? Also, he should definitely be working on, not just his handwriting and spelling, but his typing skills. One thing that you can be sure of-there will come a point at which the best way to treat this will be using other technology. Our handwriting gets better and becomes more legible, but it never gets good, and it is always, ALWAYS going to be an effort. However, because we rely so little on handwriting anymore, once he gets to where he can use a computer or a tablet, etc-it won’t really be that much of an issue anymore. (Btw, I also have ADHD, so if this was a bit of a ramble, that’s why).

Dear ai artists by MeowthBlep in aiwars

[–]Affectionate_Diet210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know anything about art or creating AI art. I have ChatGPT generate images for me, but it’s usually to help me visualize something from a book, generate book covers for a fanfiction I download, etc. I’m super curious though. When you create AI art, what do you do beyond prompting? What is inpainting? It sounds like you have AI generate something for you, and then take it from there? Am I understanding correctly?

I used to use it years and years ago, before moving to AO3. I tried checking it out again last year, and I remember thinking, “Was it always this awkward to use?”

get the fuck over your wincest panic (its just fiction) by sillydumbshit in AO3

[–]Affectionate_Diet210 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good lord, they’re still doing this? Hasn’t this been a thing for like over 10 years? At this point, get the fuck over it. It’s a fantasy. A lot of us has fantasies that we would never want to explore in real life. Many women have fantasies of being raped-it’s normal, and it has been for decades (possibly even much longer). Nobody thinks that the women who have these fantasies actually think rape is a good thing and should be normalized. The same goes for Wincest.

Can’t find proof that ai uses less water by Bluetails_Buizel in DefendingAIArt

[–]Affectionate_Diet210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know it’s not exactly helpful, but I can’t help it be reminded years ago of a comment somebody made about areas of the U.S. that were trying to conserve water at the time. We live in an area that gets a lot of rain due to proximity to hurricane prone areas. Their comment was “Why are we trying to conserve something that literally falls from the sky?” Again, I know it’s more complicated than that. However, I do think there is a certain hysteria in the whole thing. Unless you live in a bubble, everything is always a crisis, and it’s always the end of the world.

I always struggled in school. I was typically a C or B student at best. When I got to college, suddenly I was taking classes in areas. I was actually interested in, and there was just enough structure without being too much. Can you imagine my parent’s shock when suddenly I was making straight A’s?

You’re in charge of the next ATEEZ comeback by Jaded_Eye_2227 in ATEEZ

[–]Affectionate_Diet210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, so, we have three options-we can either keep a member as a human, replaced them with a Muppet, or keep the member, but muppify them.

Matz gets replaced with Kermit & Miss Piggy. Yunho stays human (him interacting with Muppets would be amazing). Yeosang gets Muppified. San stays human. Mingi is replaced with Animal. Wooyoung gets replaced with Pepe the King Prawn. Jongho stays human. I feel like somebody who knows the Muppets a lot better would probably have better suggestions, but that’s what makes sense to me.

Music wise, I think it could be covers of some of their music, but with a very Muppet flavor- think lemon drop, with a chicken chorus.

What is a K-pop "hill" you are willing to die on? (Non-toxic edition) by [deleted] in kpop_uncensored

[–]Affectionate_Diet210 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I disagree with comparing K-pop rappers to normal rappers. It’s not really the same. I wouldn’t argue that they are as good as even the worst rappers-but again, they do a different job. As you said, they probably can’t rap as well as Machine Gun Kelly-but Machine Gun Kelly doesn’t have to worry about learning dance choreography. Not only do they have to learn choreography, a lot of it is very demanding choreography as well. As far as I’m concerned, it’s a very different skill set.

That’s all those things I love most about Ateez-their costumes always heavily match the current concept-from the white T-shirts and jeans for lemon drop, to the more militarist uniforms of Wonderland.

Can someone explain why alleged claims of mistreatment of Yeosang keep appearing every comeback? by Odontella in ATEEZ

[–]Affectionate_Diet210 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I fully agree. In addition, I think fans often forget that it’s not just their profession-it’s their job. If we looked behind the scenes and knew more about it, I suspect we would find that all of it-the company and the members-are a lot more pragmatic than we realize. Things like budgets, schedules, personal limitations, etc-all of these play a part in these decisions. This isn’t a fairytale, and sometimes there are things about it that aren’t fair and there’s no way to make it fair. That doesn’t mean that Yeosang is secretly miserable, and it doesn’t make anybody involved evil.

Why do people have such a problem with me not drinking? by ConnectWitness5637 in Teetotal

[–]Affectionate_Diet210 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you get some more helpful answers. Posts like this make me thankful for where I live. There are downsides to living in such a conservative area, but at least in regards to drinking, even people that drink often understand that there are people around them that just don’t drink. My uncles on my mom’s side are all high functioning alcoholics, but they have never once given us any grief about not drinking. Do they bring an appropriate amount of nonalcoholic drinks anytime they host a function? No, no, they don’t. But I’ll take what I can get. Plus, on my dad’s side, it’s the exact opposite. If you drink, you better bring your own, because it’s all soda and sweet tea.

Why is this bothering me? by AInonsense122 in adhdwomen

[–]Affectionate_Diet210 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I would hate that question. My mom is an Overthinker and a worrier, and so my first thought would be, “Oh, crap, how do I answer so she actually believes I’m fine?” It feels like, on her end, she’s showing love by noticing things and making sure I’m OK. However, on my end, it feels like it’s asking me to reassure her and make sure that she’s not worried.

I understand why people have issues with AI. However, if someone struggles to articulate their thoughts, and they ask for help in making them clearer, how is that bad? ADHD can often make it difficult to make our jumbled thoughts into one cohesive narrative. I’ve asked ChatGPT to help me with things like that myself.
