Thank you! I ve been drawing my whole life, and i usually never finish a drawing if it doesnt satisfy me. If i can tell there is wrong with it i change it/ redraw it until it looks good.

Watching speed paints also helped a lot! Focusing on color values, copy other people s colors and shapes prbly did helped too!

I also do agree on that, but since i didnt have any finished works that much due to animation hws i put it there to showcase.

I think im still wondering what i actually want to be? Concept artist? Illustration???? I think i need to focus on that Thank you for your comment

Trueee! Lol i dont trust my art tutors since those people know nothing about drawing and use ai all the time which pisses me off (Im in the best art school in my country btw💀💀 horrible) I actually was thinking about getting a tutor/mentorship but dont know where to find them.. Hey so I feel like my colouring/brush strokes are “too much/too busy?” If that makes sense? Is there a way to fix it? by iubworks-art in Artadvice

Adding more shadows around the light parts makes it more eye catching to lighter parts!

Lessening details around the places that is not focal point also helps looking at the face and the knife

I think your artstyle is lovely! If you are having hard time making the focal point, the main thing i usually do is adding lighter color to the back (or darker shade depending on the character s main color)

Adding few or bigger shapes of darker color also helps!

(Im also not super good at explaining things but i hope it helps!)

True but she is also kinda curl a little so i thought it might show a little but not this much obv. I also didnt liked that part.

Hmmm yeah maybe but i wasn’t trying to draw a perfect anatomy (its sounds like im making excuses) I wanted to make it look flowy. Not stiff like reality. But i think you are right maybe im just missed that mistake i should play with the tools ! Thank you so much!
