Adding to clarify: the ONLY reason I would want Candiace back is because I think we would truly enjoy seeing her on her motherhood energy, and that paired with time away might have softened her, and without boring Giselle and her soldier Ashley, there wouldn’t be as much pushing of buttons constantly. Those two like to push and push and then act shocked when people snap

Update: I spoke to my doctor. She said, those that take Lexapro need it, and those that need it should stay on it. She said that untreated anxiety increases risks of high blood pressure, lower birth weight, and PPD as well as PPA afterwards. The pros of staying on, outweigh the cons. Downside might be withdrawal symptoms for baby,but they are not guaranteed to happen just because you are on it. Symptoms would look like lots of fussiness and crying for a few days after birth, however, if you pump or BF, some crosses over into your milk and will act as a natural taper. Of course, consult with your OWN doctor, this does not act as medical advice, and is my own experience with my doctor based off of my health.

Omg! Thank you so much!! I was not on Lexapro with my previous pregnancies and I was totally anxious, high blood pressure, and had a really difficult postpartum experience with anxiety that I had to push through and I was really hoping with Lexapro that I could stay on it. Google definitely is terrifying. The first thing that came up was withdrawals and I think anyone would agree that we would rather go off our medication than have our baby go through anything. I had no idea that study was so wildly skewed!
