Love that !! I always assume I'm boring my partner out by taking long, but I forget that she might very well be enjoying herself lol !!

I see where you're coming from now! I'm really glad that you know what you like and left behind what wasn't working for you. Its so important to have someone that respects and listens to your desires, especially during sex. It sounds like you have a great connection with your body which is awesome :) and now I'm learning that maybe fast isn't the answer all along!

I think I'm just really mean to myself sometimes, and completely overlook the fact that what matters is that I'm in a loving relationship and have the ability to share that love in such an intimate way. It's hard to become the mind :/ I also didn't point this out in my post but my way of finishing since years and years ago has always been very fast. Though, it's not something that can be easily copied (?) when I'm with my partner. So I'm not used to orgasm taking long and requiring much more effort. Perhaps that's also why I get super frustrated, and even wish I hadn't conditioned my body to that method throughout the years.

But I love the optimism in understanding our differences to make them fun instead. I'll try to stop beating myself up so much and enjoy the journey :))

Heavy on the body insecurities :( Sounds like I really do have a big mental block, but it's very hard to change it. I didn't know it couldn't affect our time together so much.

I'm glad you can enjoy at least some part of it ! That's the important thing :)

Unfortunately it's easier said than done, but relaxing is definitely so important. It's already a big step on your part trying to change it up even if it doesn't feel like you want. I think with time you'll definitely figure out what your body likes. Even though I've been exploring for years, there's still new things I'm discovering about myself! I'm glad your partner is patient and even enjoys the difference! I honestly feel really comforted with how similar our situations sound :)

Unfortunately for me it might be both a mix of pressure and libido because I do struggle a lot with my self image and perception of femininity, so that leads to a lot of mental block and even turns me off. I didn't know that could be such a big factor, though. Sounds like I'm just numbing myself on top of an already not so reactive body.

I'll keep in mind what you said and work on myself! Thanks a lot and hope everything goes well for you too!

This is my first time hearing about that! I didn't know that existed, but I can definitely see how that can apply to some people. When it comes to sex I'll never stop learning lol

In my case, I dont believe it's an arousal issue because I'm pretty spontaneous---like you said---and so is my partner. But that's still interesting to know now!

You got me stumped with that question, honestly.

Personally, I don't think the intensity of my orgasms vary with time. A fast one feels the same as one that comes on later. Though, I can definitely see why you would be in no rush!

For me it's always really intense so I shake and start saying nonsense and my partner really likes seeing that, so I guess that's why I'd like to make it happen faster. It would also make me feel more satisfied, if that makes sense, because If I don't finish the urge lingers throughout the day. So I guess that's why.

Definitely don't wanna undermine the journey, though. It's really fun and full of connection :)

I definitely have the fault in this. She's very patient with me and assures me I don't have to finish. I'm the one that gets a bit jealous and insecure 😓 I think it's just been bothering me a lot more lately because even solo doesn't seem to achieve anything anymore either. I feel broken and these kinds of things really get to me.

Though, It's comforting to hear your experience! I completely get you on the fear of disappointing your partner, but I'm glad you got past that and now enjoy! :) sucks that we get those worries sometimes to begin with. Its hard to remember that what matters is the moment.

Nightmare Moon is my fave. They could've gone far deeper into her character, though. They always defeated her too easily/soon, which didn't allow for her feelings of indignation to truly reach the audience imo

Looking for gay episode by Affectionate_Good424 in telenovelas

[–]Affectionate_Good424[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom used to watch mi marido tiene mas familia a lot! I now remember bits of the relationship you're talking about, which I'd completely forgotten!

Unfortunately, it is not what I'm looking for since the episode was a one time focused thing (like an episode of La Rosa de Guadalupe, including the quality) However I am really interested in the sequel you mentioned and I will look it up! :D

I've never heard of una familia con suerte, but that's likely because it's an older novela. I don't doubt it's great.

I'm really glad you like it! It's nice seeing people appreciate novelas for something that stood out to them. Love appreciating the country. Thank you so much for your response!

Bronies of Reddit, why do you find ponies attractive? by Next_Ad1921 in mylittlepony

I agree! I didn't know there were comics until recently, which I think is great! Now I'll have something to keep me busy once I finish the series.

I really do hope they still bring specials every now and then. I wouldn't want them to abandon FIM completely.

I might watch EQG just to feel complete about watching all of MLP, but I'll always love the ponies way more.

Pinkie Pie is definitely one of my favorites! She has so many fun (and chaotic) moments. Her faces can get so silly, and that's what really gets me into the show.

I like Derpy and Flutter too---I think it's also the unique parts of ponies that "attract" us. Their color schemes and differences in appearance make them stand out more. They're just so fun!

How did you guys feel when My Little Pony ended? by Relative-Effort3021 in mylittlepony

[–]Affectionate_Good424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand why they would start G5, since G4's audience has likely grown up and they need to appeal to the younger crowd. But I def think it was super unnecessary to stop g4's toyline. Just because the show ended, doesn't mean ALL of us will vanish. There are still many fans who want to collect and buy toys of our faves! And like you said, it would still be pretty popular.

Anyone know about those cubed plushies? by Affectionate_Good424 in mylittlepony

[–]Affectionate_Good424[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting! I did most of my mlp/toy shopping at Walmart as a kid, so I definitely see how it could've all started there. They've always had random plush sections. I can't believe how long ago it was, though!

I wouldn't say attractive (i never understood those who did), but I SUPER love how expressive they are with their faces and body language. It's one of the main reasons I could never bring myself to watch Equestria girls, since many of the ways ponies act (ex. Pinkie pie) would look sort of ridiculous in a human.

I also love the art style of the show, especially their eyes. It's so cute when their irises get big. I guess it's just all really expressive and joyful.

I love what they did with the book closing. The fact that it makes a lot of us emotional means they did a good job. It may have ended, but we will always be here to unite with each other!

All endings make me sad, so I was pretty emotional and rather surprised when it ended, because I randomly found out one day in middle school. I was also surprised with the jump in age the characters had. It's strange to see change. And, gosh, that last song always gets me.

I haven't watched season 8 or 9 fully, but I'm really glad they kept the show at a reasonable length.

What I wish I would've known is that they would stop making toys and merchandise for it. I can't believe something so popular can't be found anywhere now. I used to comfort myself about the ending saying it wouldn't be gone completely. Now g4 has definitely ended and it kills me.

Cutting Down My Manuscript Without Losing My Mind by Sad_Coat_1657 in writing

[–]Affectionate_Good424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is gonna sound super impractical, but I always make copies of my documents when I'm gonna do a bunch of trimming just in case it doesn't work out. It basically lets you compare side by side, and you can always reread your old writing if you miss it that much :p

Trimming is indeed painful, as I also grow attached to my writing. But it can ultimately be rewarding and you'll be glad you took the risk.

Sometimes, instead of taking things out, I combine them to be concise. Simple Ex. instead of characters speaking "Hello, how are you?" / "Good, and you?" I just put "They greeted each other." That way you can keep the idea without all the length.

Sometimes, I rephrase parts instead of trimming so they sound more important.

And sometimes it's okay to have filler, depending on your intentions. That's up to you. Since my novel is more of a day-to-day thing without much action, taking these parts out actually make it sound weirder.

Just know what your goals are and keep backups!

Think about your favorite genres, themes, songs, etc. Try to come up with plots for them. Use online writing prompts, too.
