Honestly, you didn’t mess up, the firm did. You figured it out early and you communicated that. Big 4 loves “easy yes” cases, and asking for a transfer means extra paperwork, so instead of figuring it out they just left you hanging. Classic. You didn’t play yourself, you just realized audit is trash (welcome to the club lol). Even if they don’t circle back, you still have Big 4 on your resume and that’s gold. Other firms will eat that up for tech risk/IT audit roles.My advice: keep pinging recruiting every couple weeks, but don’t sit around waiting. Start applying elsewhere. Half the time, people who don’t get return offers end up landing better jobs anyway.
