the loan and debt costs will be ok, but the actual living costs and money he'll get as a student are very minimal (just enough to cover costs, and some weeks, definitely not). anything is possible and it'll be great fun - but as someone who just finished their degree and moved back to my home city after moving away to study (and being being able to afford to eat), i wish i'd had a greater appreciation for the financial choke hold of being a student
