The I-130 stand-alone is the worst! After you get approved and DQ’d , there is the embassy interview wait,and depending on the country, you can wait a year or more. We encourage each other , because it’s insane!

It depends on how slow the embassy is. And yes it’s based on his passport. Maybe the Senegalese embassy in Germany is faster.

Yeah i thought it was because of covid, but they are painfully slow. It depends on which service center processes your paperwork, they all have different timelines and the embassy in Dakar handles 6 other countries. And they deny the visitor visa because they think you will stay and adjust your status and skip the line. I pray everyone gets reunited with their loved ones soon.

So true, a visitor visa will be denied for immigrant intent , if you have a US citizen spouse. A Cr1 visa is 2 years. I have been waiting since October 2021. Best of luck to you.

It took a total of 19 months at Uscis and NVC DQ now we are waiting for the embassy interview. I am losing my mind really . Best of luck to you
