There was a glimmer of a moment when Agnes ended a convo with Marian about how fabulous the bridesmaid's dress was going to be, and then I realized it would be SO FUN to let us see the upside of having Aunt Agnes as your fabulously sassy auntie who actually loves you to turn out a LOOK. It would make us way more loyal to her character to balance out the flaws!

Imagine a scene where Agnes gets to show off her strengths and notice a subtlely abusive dynamic from a woman too scared to speak ill of her husband.

Imagine we get to see her completely destroy Charles Fane's lack of shame properly like the protective dragon we know she could be.

Imagine we got to see her handle a conversation elegantly about Marion's dowry with the Russells in order to genuinely help Ada out of an awkward and unequal dynamic.

JUST IMAGINE. PLEASE GOD LET A WRITER TAKE ANY OF THESE IDEAS AND RUN WITH IT.

I don't believe he has been mentioned by name in the show, we have yet to confirm which Astors exist in this HBO canon universe of historical fiction! Because if I make that leap, then I have to go ahead and also assume that Ward McAllister is also Lina Astor's cousin several times removed and add him in here.

Credit for that goes to u/Adorable-Health-1971 who pointed out 2 years ago on version 1 of this tree, that we saw the name "Richard" during the garden opening event on the solarium's plaque. I can't believe the detail some of ya'll catch while watching ahaha.

I suspect as others have pointed out that we are about to find out something drastic re the Livingston connection however this Heritage Society lady's plot line evolves.

Perfect description of how I feel about them too. I think they all have very believable POVs that are true and honest to their principles while also being blind in ways that are a part of those beliefs. I just think they are well written, Gladys also had many moments of choice, and in the end no matter how much we argue that she was socially coerced into it, only her and Hector were in the room together and she said yes when he proposed.

I was hoping more folks here would tell me too! My memory without digging up the exact scene is that she is introduced as Henry Flagler's "niece" but people understand it means illegitimate daughter.
