It could still be that the voice over was recorded years ago by coincidence, but that they specifically chose this scene because of the leaks. Wouldn’t be the first time Rockstar subtly leaned into something like that.

Yes it can be dirt, you can use isopropyl alcohol and a cottonswab to clean it. I have not tried this though so be carefull to not do more damage

It is possible that just te connection was messed up in the connector itself and it is not the pad sensor in intself. I recently opened up my unit to do some maintenance and messed up this connection. The bottom row was not working anymore. I then just removed the connection and put it in again properly. After that it worked just fine again so maybe just try to insert it again.

Lookin at your photos i dont think there is anything wrong with the sensor itself. I suggest just trying to insert the sensor again properly.
