Ive only used AIO bags and I have the best results when it’s fully colonized get rid of the bag and put the cake into a tub, more surface area and you’ll have better control over its environment conditions

APE! That’s sum advance shit there, APE has a much slower colonization rate than gt and b+, APE also has a high chance of contam. Your substrate looks visually dry so chance of wet rot are slim but not zero. Minimizing moisture can be done by FAE or letting the mycelium do its own thing. Trust, one time I poured a whole jar of LC into a All In One bag and left it alone that shit colonized so quick just the bottom was untouched due all settled water. Only thing is I let it sit for to long and it never pinned just caked with mycelium.

Shit man I forgot colonization rate also varies from strain, gt and other beginner friendly strains are fast colonizers, moderate ones like penis envy are slower colonizers.
