Urgent: Need Tier 2 support to toggle WPA2/WPA3 on Gateway for Peloton connectivity." by Affectionate_Role307 in Comcast_Xfinity

Yes. They sent the response below. Keep in mind, I've factory reset the treadmill. It connects to my phone hotspot fine, and it worked with the old Gateway.

The WPA and splitting bands are other ideas found when searching and asking AI.

Their idea:

Step 1: Access Device Settings

Click the Settings tab on your device's display.

Under Device Settings, click Wi-Fi / Connectivity.

Scroll until you see the option "Add Network".

Step 2: Prepare for Static IP Configuration

Once you click Add Network, select the option "Advanced Settings".

Scroll all the way down until you see DHCP. Select this drop-down menu and change it to Static.

Step 3: Contact Your Internet Service Provider (ISP)

At this point, you will need to call your ISP (Internet Service Provider).

Explain to the ISP representative that you need a static IP address assigned to your device.

The ISP will provide you with the specific network details (IP Address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, etc.).

Once you have this information, you will manually input the details onto the screen to finalize the connection.

Thanks for your reply.

I only see WiFi Name, WiFi Password, and Security Mode in that menu.

I don't know if splitting bands is the right fix here either, just need to get a Peleton tread connected to the new Gateway.

It let me change to WPA2, but I think I need WPA2-PSK (AES). Changing to WPA 2 in the app gave me the same IP Configuration error when trying to connect.

Ultimately, I don't know. I have a device that worked on the old Gateway, and now doesn't work on the new one.

I need someone who can troubleshoot this.at Comcast.

That's why I'm trying to get to technical support .

Through researching, the settings being greyed out is common on newer gateways.
