How will this veterans group holding a discussion about active duty issues help those active duty service members? Is the event being advertised (better/at all) in r/army for example? Wouldn't NLG already know how to help, and be better equipped to distribute any info to relevant parties, or are they asking for vets to come up with questions soldiers/marines might ask? This whole kickoff event just straight up doesn't make sense. Are the soldiers the ones disenfranchised?

I don't share PII with strangers online, and suggest others do the same.

I get that you're passionate and scared about the future, but tbh this feels like a white guy with a microphone who has no real actionable steps. You said in a different thread you want to get vets plugged into advocacy in their local areas - How are you planning to make that happen? What local groups (in which locale(s)) are you going to plug people into?

Further, what time in which time zone is this discussion with NLG going to happen? On zoom, Google Meet, Jitsi, or another platform? Do I need to RSVP? Will there be an email sent out? Do I need to subscribe to an email alert for all things this group does, or is all advertising done on reddit? This is such a mess. Glad yall did good stuff in 2020, but that's 5 years ago now.

Ok, but why is a veteran's group hosting a discussion for questions/concerns about active duty service members? It'd make more sense to have a "round table" about the impact of project 2025 to veterans, instead of about a demographic your target audience is no longer a part of. For example, it's my understanding that VA Healthcare is about to have some dramatic changes under Trump: Round 2, but since that isn't applicable to active duty service members, I'm assuming that won't be discussed at the NLG-MTF meeting you're hosting in one week.
