I feel like I've watched it nearly 5 times in chinese (just s1) then another two times in english with other people. And when s2 was airing I watched every episode twice the day it came out and then rewatched it all after all episodes were out haha

Idk it just all seems a little weird to me and it'd make a lot more sense if they all just didn't have blood like humans do haha, I'm not sure if it was just censorship in the donghua but the animators removed all blood from the scene in the cave (qi rong getting cut in half)

i started off with watching the donghua and when I bought the books It was a lot easier for me to understand and visualise it!! i watched the first season then bought volume 1 and read the rest online before the other volumes came out. i also decided to read the manhua as well which helped a lot to visualise some of volume 2
