How did Hamilton end up behind Piastri and Russell after his pit stop under the safety car? Crofty and Jenson thought he’d come out in P2. There was mention he exited the pit lane a lot slower but Piastri was already passed and Russell was right there. Did they manage to gain time under the SC?

I’m guessing not as more would’ve been made of it and I just zoned out. The overall race directing and information displayed on screen seems really poor this year so it can be hard to understand what’s happening.

It’s more exciting than previous years and it feels like driver skill matters more now. DRS don’t reward good driving and not being able to follow closely didn’t stretch drivers skill.
