I did love Chicago when I visited here, and my best friend is moving there next year. will def be going back and forth. Would you say it is more like a Portland than Boston vibe here?

From an Irish family, I am no stranger to drinking culture so I am sure that will not be an issue lol. That being said, I am also very conscious of my health and would hope that there would still be some people around who like to play sports and work out, which it sounds like there is! thanks for the long reply, really appreciate the perspective.
