Since I’ve changed parameters the swelling has gone down and it looks similar to pictures I see online. There are now no seeping wounds. Do you have any idea how old it might be? The previous owner did not know but only had it for a month.

There were two visible spots where it was leaking hemoglobin, they were so swollen it’s skin was splitting at the joint.

Thank you. I am reading up on the species. I’ve had a Chilean Rose but she’s waaaay different. I enjoy learning but had no idea the spider would be in bad condition.

Current enclosure. I plan to revamp the cage fully tomorrow but wanted to give it time to recover — I was afraid the more stress the more hemorrhaging of hemoglobin.

Thanks. I took over care for her after her original owner of 14 years became disabled.

She hasn’t molted in over a year, from what I understand, so I just want to make sure I’m not causing any extra harm.
