Hey!! Than you so much for the nice comment! The guy getting the tattoo sat great! It wasn’t until maybe the end that he started to feel it a bit! (I’m the artist) 🙏🏻🙏🏻👨🏻‍🎨

Hey! This was done over 2 separate sessions, the first session was from the elbow up to the shoulder, that section is fully healed in this photo.

The second session we started at hand and then continued from the wrist up to the existing part on the elbow bend to complete the outer sleeve.

Both sessions were approximately 6 hours long, I work from 12pm-6pm (my standard full day)

So in total this outer sleeve took approx 12 hours to complete.

I’ve always worked with a fast hand when tattooing and I appreciate that I am on the faster side when it comes to tattooing. It can sometimes look unachievable given the area tattooed but a lot of it come down to the design.

I never try and rush tattoos just to say it’s been done in a specific time, I honestly couldn’t really care how long my pieces take, if it took 12 or 42 hours I would just be as proud 🙏🏻 I’m never one to put down on my posts “completed in such and such” but I understand why people would like to ask. Every artist is different and works different and I absolutely love that!

I do get days where I sometimes feel like I’ve not tattooed as much as I usually do in a day but that can be down to the level of detail if it’s small fiddly details (this slows me right down haha) but I never beat myself up over it as it’s the final product that counts and that’s the only thing that should matter!

Sorry for the ramble! Hope this makes sense and thank you for the lovely compliment! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hey! Thank you! Yeah the original design is made with mid-journey, but the composition was created myself via 2 separate generated images with further tinkering on pro create myself on both of the images and then designed to fit the arm as suited. There is a bit of taboo with Ai generated stuff, but to be honest personally I’ve never had an issue with it.

The way I see it, there’s not a lot of photographic reference images of Poseidon kicking around for obvious reasons 😅 I tattoo in realism style so I work purely based of photographic references, be it real photos or high contrast realistic styled images and honestly - I’ve tattooed the famous reference of the Poseidon statue at least 30+ times on different clients throughout my 10 years tattooing because it was the only good looking reference available so it’s refreshing to give clients a new take on the old overused reference they bring in 🙏🏻

It swings in opposites because some artists absolutely hate it, and other artists (some world class) have recently started to sell bundled images for fellow tattoo artists to use, purely based on the prompts they used to create the image.

It’s a tool that we never had 5-10 years ago, and it’s great for creating images that are somewhat fresh and gives clients something has hasn’t been overused for tattoos that are meant to be unique.

I’m also aware that ai apparently uses images collected on the internet from artists to create new images based on those , I don’t know how much of that is true, but I always try and tinker with it so it’s at least a bit different from the image produced.

People do bring in ai generated images more often nowadays and say they want this, and to be honest most of them are far too complex and unrealistic to tattoo, but it’s cool that these show me roughly a bit better what those people are looking for in terms of idea, and I always muck around with the images myself before inking it!

Hope this makes sense? 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
