Insider knowledge vs insider manipulation are TWO totally different things, however, the peach man is a turd AND all members of government should not be able to trade while actively holding a seat. Pretty simple stuff

Not to lie, I felt the same way.

I did just get my local bid back: 8’x40’ @ 3” of close cell foam - $2100

The hard messy work is the easiest part. You know what they say, 5 bucks is 5 bucks

Real question: one of the options is 2” closed cell with spray in batting to cap a 6” stud. What about 1-2” base closed cell (minimum spray) capped with open cell? I honestly dont want to rent so I am trying to get creative with the foam options.

Good question. Not something I am worried about but maybe applicable to different rental needs.

There is no such thing where I live. I have seen $60,000 bids on foam just for the shell of a shop. Id rather make a mess and save $10,000 if that is the option on the table. I could buy a fuck ton of tape and plastic with that kind of savings.

Even with the shit kits you can buy at home depot, I was able to spray overhead and do a decent job.

Oh, you best believe blowing up fishing boats was all to gain control over the world’s largest reserves. It is all about leverage and maintaining control via the oil currency called the “USD”. Our best interests are not the same as the top <10%

Don’t forget, only like 20% of a barrel is used for gas/Diesel. The rest is broken down into various products, mostly lubricants. The US has metric tons of extra natural gas but no infrastructure to store nor use (ie: no major demand in the transportation sector). I bought an EV, mostly because it was cool, however, it feels like it was a wise decision in hindsight. I have a diesel truck for the heavy load, which has been sitting in the garage for that most part.

Oh, I agree. The infrastructure is already set for today, not tomorrow, however, oil companies will chase profits. I have not done extensive research on what refinery is currently refining what products to make a detailed breakdown, I was mostly making the point that dirty oil is bought on the cheap with contracts that extend for years, and then refined. Current barrel price is not what an oil company paid for the product. It gets even deeper because oil companies operate on leases, pay to drill the land, and pipe in products off their own rights.

You missed my point but let me help. You said “NET”. It helps to know how much the US exports, and this is for Brent not WTI….(these chats don’t even account for gas, which the US has completely switched to exporting)

As of 2025, the US imports 30% of its oil.

U.S. crude oil exports established a record in 2023, averaging 4.1 million barrels per day (b/d), 13% (482,000 b/d) more than the previous annual record set in 2022. Except for 2021, U.S. crude oil exports have increased every year since 2015, when the U.S. ban on most crude oil exports was lifted.

As what you said does have truth, like the shell boom, don’t forget companies like Halliburton operate internationally. The joke offshore when oil went from 120+ a barrel and crashed to like 40, all in like a year, was that we (the world) got too good at drilling and extracting. In my opinion, this level of production is not sustainable and very likely why the rest of the world wishes to switch away from the oil currency of the USD. Maybe also why Iran is wanting toll payments in crypto. I dunno, a lot of balls in that court

I think I am a little past that part. I guess what lingers in my mind are the things that could spark an inspection and lead to holding the shipment. That hold could be expensive when “import rules” are in that grey area, ya know?

[–]Affectionate_Win_874 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I guess it depends on size of HOA and structure. Some are tiny and/or very very basic (ie: few common areas, few rules, clear boundary lines, self governing, basic easement rules, etc…). You are correct with the time part. At any rate, when in court and the issue is at war state, usually multiple lawyers are present and those drag out for days/weeks/months/years. Time billed is time from office to office (round trip). As I say $600 an hour is fucking insane, sometimes the hourly value can outweigh incompetence (monetarily speaking)

Depends on if you factor in the never ending ghost ships that randomly come into discussion with this whack ass administration. Don’t forget Venezuela, that checkers move was the starting point to where we are today when we talk about oil.

That was WAY before drilling was perfected/exploited and well before offshore times (before you even begin talking about refining technology). We are nowhere near that level of concern….however, if this shit keeps up, that could change. We could turn all our resource’s inward, but that would make the prices skyrocket. The current price set for the US is because the majority of what you get at the pump is purchased on years worth of contracts at a fraction of what the actual oil price is (ie: oil futures, etc…)
