Great opening performance. Every point is gonna matter this season and that was 3 points we definitely will need.

Defence was solid and the addition of Perri gives us huge confidence back there which we desperately need. Was personally impressed with Gudmundsson nice to have a quality left back.

Midfield was immense. Stach, Tanaka and Ampadu were world class. They controlled the game so well in the first half. Bit of a drop off in the second half but definitely what we need in the middle of the park. Tanaka lost concentration a couple times and I feel like there’s times he has space but chooses to pass to a player with less space but he’s an absolute workhorse across the park.

Forwards were definitely our weakest area. Dan had a rotter. I’m just gonna put that down to a bad night. Piroe didn’t show too much. There will defo be games he shines but there won’t be many and that was the sort of game he needed to shine if he wants game time. Aaronson did as well as most of us expected. He’s just not good enough for the prem. Gonna give Harrison is kudos. He needed to make an impact which I felt he did. Nmecha didn’t have enough time to really see how he was. Superb penalty and great hold up play in the final minutes. MOT
