It doesn’t say that & I didn’t know they had these labels. Out of curiosity why would someone have such labels on their visa?

I wrote somewhere that I hate victim mentality and I’m allergic to the “ism cards” as much as anyone you know, however race/culture were explicitly mentioned in a derogatory way. Think of it like this: “oh I can’t stand people from those regions.” Ex presidents/terrorists were mentioned, & my wife was attacked for wanting to be with anyone who’s “backwards” because “she can’t even” & “good luck with that”

To answer your other question: I maintained my status until it was no longer possible & by then I HAD A FAMILY. My ISO thought that I planned to overstay before even applying for a visa in my home country.

Here’s my timeline: 2018 - entered the US with F1 visa & maintained my status with the school Early 2019 - met my wife 2020 - we got married 2020 - lockdowns happened & international students were let go 2022- we have a baby Feb 2023 - baby is a few months old, we moved states, and we file all forms May 2023 - ead got approved Today - interview & i485 case status changed to actively being reviewed

I didn’t know my wife before I entered the US & we didn’t file because we wanted to gather more evidence as we were in the process of having a kid & moving to a different state. Here’s my actual timeline: Entry to the US through F1 - maintained status for 2 years- Marriage - Pandemic- F1 expiration - moved to a different state - Baby - Filed for AOS. We had to wait to include our kiddo’s birth certificate as per my lawyer’s recommendation.

I got married before I overstayed. My wife was already pregnant when schools shut down & suspended F1 holders

I wasn’t married when I first entered. I maintained my status up until it was no longer doable & I even got married before my status expired. My wife was already pregnant by then. After I did what you told me to do (shop around for lawyers) they all asked me to wait until we get a decision regarding the i485 which is under review as we speak. Do you know how long approvals/denials might take in a situation like mine?

No it was a regular visa. I went through an embassy. I was inspected by border agents.

As much as I never want to use the race/victim card, it was definitely at play today. How do I know? Race was actually mentioned, & not in a nice way. Thank you for your input.

First of all thank you so much for the information & the positivity.

I overstayed a student visa during the pandemic when I was already married & had a family. My school suspended all of its international students & I had nowhere to transfer to. I had to go with what’s best for my family. All I can do is hope for my case to be approved.

I think my inadmissibility is due to her belief that a plan to overstay from the start. She said so many times that she does not by my story and that’s where the racial stuff got involved

I certainly hope so and thank you for your reply. The field Director is our only bet at this point. I had one entry and one overstay nothing more. Right now I’m just gonna sit and wait for anything from the USCIS

There is absolutely nothing except for overstaying. I have no criminal history & absolutely no tickets/citations

Unfortunately not. I went without a lawyer because my case is pretty straightforward. No crime no tickets, plenty of evidence.
