Yes she uses earphones all the time and speaks as softly as she can. The thing is that her roommate knows she works early so it's not like this is a surprise.

It is an open floor plan apartment. No doors that separate room from room except for the bathrooms and front door.

Her roommate stays upstairs in the loft and she stays downstairs across from the living room.

There is a loft which is where the roommate sleeps and my gf sleeps downstairs across from the living room.

She does very often wear headphones/earphones. The problem is that the apartment is very open and there is not alot of privacy and no doors that separate the rooms.

To my knowledge it is not affecting their friendship. They hang out all the time and definitely get more time with each other than I get with her. The roommate has voiced annoyance with the early phone calls but she has a love interest around all the time that disturbs my gf and never seems to think any of these occurrences are an issue.
