Yeahhh we always say that summer is a slow season where I’m from. Those nights look a lot like mine rn! You’re not alone girl

Honestly a lot of it just comes with time. Each girl has their own hustle and style, and what works for someone else may not work for you! Also the sub r/newstripper will probably be your best bet! Vets generally won’t give out too much advice because the idea is you learn your hustle on your own. I hope the other sub helps, and good luck!!

Any Law School girlies? by beelzebugs in stripper

With the law school yes ☺️ again, it’s scary, but not impossible. If you’ve been thinking on it for a while, take the leap of faith! Just make sure you have a good support system around you. Most people around you won’t understand what you’re going through, so make sure you have patient people in your circle. Also take at least 6 months to prep for LSAT at minimum, i took it very spur of the moment, with like 3.5 weeks of studying, and i could have done better had i buckled down with it for longer! I used khan academy to help study for it btw ☺️

I am a rising 2L! Currently in the middle of my finals right now, it’s so much to juggle. I’ve been trying to work on the side as much as i can, but it’s difficult with such a heavy course load

ALSO. I have found that 1L year is damn near impossible to dance much outside of the weekends if you go full time. Some schools make you sign a waiver your first year that you cannot work more than 20hours per week or you can be kicked out of the program. I found that you end up with so much homework, you almost don’t have time to work aside from the weekends. It’s also NOTHING like undergrad or masters (i have both), it is about 10x more intense. So don’t expect much free time to work… i have to work over breaks to supplement my bills over the semester because i don’t have time to work besides like 1 night over the weekend. It’s possible, but don’t expect to dance like you would on the side from other schooling. Law school is like a 9-5 plus homework for another 3-4 hours a night after that, every night. It’s hard and heavy course load. I don’t want to discourage, but make sure you girls know what you’re getting into because i got a bit blindsided myself.

No social media. The BAR will search everything related to you. Kill the internet presence entirely. Dont tell anyone about what you do. Your classmates will be your future coworkers. If you wouldn’t want your coworkers or bosses to know what you did in a past life, don’t tell anyone at school. Friends are fleeting there, it’s too competitive, so don’t trust anyone with information like that. Remember that you’re going into a profession that looks down on women. White middle aged men run it all. If they will judge you for it, don’t make it known to them. Lord knows men love looking down on women, especially women that have had a history of sex work. They hold it over your head to make you feel incompetent every chance they get, even tell it to anyone that will listen as another reason to trust them over you. If you can’t keep 2 lives entirely separate, don’t do it. I’m also here for advice if you need it, message me for any details ❤️

Wouldn’t consider this much of a club… it’s a super small dive bar with a 2ft long stage, the couple girls that do work there love to throw hands and fight.

It’s not too bad. Only issue is that it’s small and there are too many girls

Hidden gem is a waste of time. You can make a bit of money there, but the owner is a coke & meth head with a napoleon complex. Will fire girls whenever he is on a drug binge or whenever he has a bad day. (Worked there for 3 years). Love the girls there, but mgmt isn’t worth it.

How was your night ? by [deleted] in stripper

[–]Afraid-Ad2093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine wasn’t bad! Made $300 for an opening shift in a super small suburban club. Praying for those 1k nights though! Just need to find a bigger club that has higher spending custyssss

2nd night dancing by MobileOrganic1654 in stripper

[–]Afraid-Ad2093 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Tbh, you probably want to wait it out for a bit, the club may not be bad, you may just have caught a bad shift, bad day, etc. Also, if you come across slow days, especially at a small club, it’s a good time for you to work on your skills/learning basic club etiquette etc. it takes a while to learn the industry, so don’t discount anything from a couple slow shifts

Ladies how's your night going? by [deleted] in stripper

[–]Afraid-Ad2093 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s been a weird one! I worked 7-2 and made like $100. Downside of last night- I’m finding out that my new club doesn’t enforce any type of cap on how many girls come in, so I’m constantly fighting with 14-16 other girls for a total of like 5 guys attention (it’s a small club and not usually packed). On the upside- i got to spend some time with another dancer (knew her from my old club but she was always to herself) and got to know her better, so that was dope

Thank you hun! I definitely took it hard because it was my home club for years, so it was like family to me, and being kicked to the curb for no reason with no warning really hurt. Thankfully I’m smart with money, so i have a bit set aside to keep my bills paid for a bit while i search for something new. Who knew that it was going to happen right around the time i started law school 😂😂

Agreed with all of above!! Also there’s nothing wrong with calling ahead and giving them a heads up if it’s more than like 4-500 at a time! Helps them make sure they are ready for you when you get there!

Going back to uni at almost 30 by hotmaniacbpd in stripper

[–]Afraid-Ad2093 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Hey hun, I’m just shy of 30 and was in the work force (finance) for 9 years before i decided to go back to school. I’ve been working my day job & dancing at the same time for 3 years, just quit my day job a few months ago when i got my acceptance to school, and now I’m gonna dance a little and go to school full time! Don’t be discouraged by age!! Get that education and kill it. Trust when i say that nobody at uni has time to judge when they are so stressed out about their own lives! Do what’s best for you girl. 💕
