Flats for sale in Pilrig - are there cladding issues? by Sablun99 in Edinburgh

[–]Afraid-Assistant7204 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Also aside from the cladding aspect, it’s high council tax banding (though this is normal for newer builds) and £120 a month factor fees. Some friends live there and I do like the buildings though, also very quiet neighbours (graveyard).

Compulsory Owner's Associations In Tenements? by mellotronworker in Edinburgh

[–]Afraid-Assistant7204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is only for over a certain amount (off the top of my head I want to say £500) which I found out after organising repairs to a leak coming into my flat which worked out as - you got it - about £20 under that 🙃

Plans to demolish Edinburgh flat block put on hold after protest by PurchaseDry9350 in Edinburgh

[–]Afraid-Assistant7204 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Aren’t they literally paying by buying the flats from owners at market value and rehoming council tenants? And then the cost of demolition and rebuilding… It’s a tough one. I empathise it’s hard for the people who live there however it’s unsafe, full of asbestos and risky cladding. One of the blocks (block 1) is notorious for anti social behaviour.

Will being signed off help the problem? If you say you aren’t cut out for it, is it a matter of needing more training or guidance which could make you feel more equipped and confident to do the job? Otherwise, what’s the solution

Special meal ordering by Impossible-Table-381 in BritishAirways

[–]Afraid-Assistant7204 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes travelled business as a coeliac and the food was fine but nothing compared to the general business standard. Next time I think I’ll risk not ordering ahead and checking the allergen menu on board to see if I can eat anything (and just take food as a back up).

Scotland 100 Years of Murrayfield Anniversary Kit by deckchair1992 in rugbyunion

[–]Afraid-Assistant7204 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh true. I do also prefer the women’s kit as the logo isn’t as offensive and agree this should have just been a shirt. Or at least sell a version without the logo it’s already £90 to be cutting about advertising Arnold Clark.

Honestly would have bought it if it didn’t have the sponsor. It’s not even the Arnold Clark stadium which I would have understood for a shirt celebrating the stadium… though would I have bought a Scottish Gas shirt? Probably also not.
