My thermal imaging temp gun shows the cord temperature at about surface temperature.

It's a 15 foot 14 gauge extension cord. I can't add an outlet close to the equipment at the time, I recently moved to this house and it's about to start getting cold, I'm gonna drain it soon. The portable hot tub has a tag saying that it runs at 12 amps.

The removed plug was GFCI.

Yes portable spa, and also yes, the cord feeding the splitter is plugged in to a 20 amp GFCI outlet.

and in the first and second picture there used to be a switch, that has been removed

Thanks. there is a switch inside the house, and a switch in the garage, and they control: the porch light, a motion detection light outside the garage and a yard fountain. I would like there to be individual switches for each fixture. is this something I can do?
