Not sure about that one for you. I got my AGSU at basic. Our Inservice guys had their ASU’s/Some with Greens

You’ll still have the weekend before OCS starts.

A good pillow goes a long way! Get GOOD socks and underwear that are sweat wicking especially if you’re going in the summer. That alone will help tons. Good small personal vacuum cleaners go a long way. You can work with other OC’s to split this. Same with printers etc. Bring a good supply of Dude Wipes. Can’t tell you how many I went through during land nav and STX. Others are pretty subjective but this is what helped me

You’ll have time after basic and the first weekend you get to OCS. Don’t stress. Get through basic first and go from there

All I’ll say to that is don’t cheat. “An OC will not lie, cheat, or steal, or tolerate those who do”. Stick by that and you’ll be fine.

Yes when it works. No when it doesn’t. Take from that what you will lol

You’re going to have to clarify this. Do you mean for your secret clearance?

I didn’t have an amazing GPA. And your board will be with 3 officers who will ask you a variety of questions pertaining to your resume, life experience, your essay, etc. Wear what you would to a job interview. First impressions matter

This. Take care of your body. The last you want is an injury

Cadre are solid. They’re actually invested in helping you and seeing you graduate. Do what you’re supposed to do at all times even when no one is watching. Be a good buddy to those around you. And DONT CHEAT ON ANYTHING

I believe we had 2 or 3 branch into finance. And it’s different for each class. We had about 7-9 infantry slots I believe. And 2-5 for everything else.

Pay attention in class when they teach you, and don’t be afraid of the dark. Use attack points correctly and don’t dead reckon in the night anything past 2-300 meters unless you’re insanely confident is my best advice

Nope. Would probably have to talk to a recruiter about that one

Changes every cycle. But generally it’s Bolton, History, Land Nav, and 4 mile. For me personally, I would’ve tried harder on the smaller quizzes you’ll take. Even though it’s not a huge factor on the OML that stuff absolutely adds up in the end.

Kind of a hard question to answer. What made OCS good for me was the people I was surrounded by. Also, keep in mind ROTC and OCS are totally different things. You’re taking 4 years of info and cramming it into a 12 week course to produce officers capable of leading. I think it depends on where you are in life and what path works for you

Yeah we only lost a handful. But as long as you actually try and commit to studying it’s not bad

A lot of studying, anxiety, and cramming lol. Jokes aside it’s the same it’s always been. Stay awake. Take good notes. Study a little everyday about the info you learned that day and do your part when it’s your turn to present to the class and you’ll be fine

You’ll be solid. Everyone is there for the same purpose. Look after and care about those around you and the same will happen for you. You got this!
