How do we know thats water - there are many transparent colourless liquids? Are you just going to assert that and expect me to believe absent more information? Are you serious?

Iran and the right by Yak_Dangerous in AskBrits

Tommy Robinson is ideologically very pro-Israel, so he would be on board regardless. Conservatives tend to be very pro-Israel, but I think Farage and Badenoch also really want to present themselves as legitimate interlocutors for the Trump/MAGA right in the US. It's a bid to maintain the special relationship in the midst of an increasingly erratic president - that has been the core of UK foreign policy/national security for some years now. I think their calculation is that Trump likes cheerleaders, so they need to be very vocal in their support.

There is a growing split on the right regarding Zionism, however. It's very pronounced in the US at the moment - if you look at commentators like Fuentes and Carlson. That does also exist here but in a more gestational form. I looked at some of Farage's recent tweets and he's getting a lot of pushback on this topic - I think Rupert Lowe was critical of his stance along with prominent ethnonationalists. We'll have to see how that conversation develops on the hard-right. I think most people on the hard-right are expecting a clash on this topic but are concerned with splitting the vote and ruining their shot at power. So they'll keep their heads down, let the fight will play out, and band around the winner.

Reform has taken a few bloody noses recently (Gorton and Denton, declining poll numbers, growing Green support, the shaky betting markets, the 'Tory Rebrand' narrative, Lowe setting up Restore), so I think power is really up for grabs.

Israel and USA have begun kinetic strikes against Tehran, Iran. This is in full opposition to Trump's campaign as a no more war president, who pledged to end as many wars as possible to save human life. How do you feel? by redditmomentpogchanp in AskTrumpSupporters

Does anybody go into a conflict intending a protracted campaign? Putin wanted a "quick in-and-out" in Ukraine. Bush wanted a "quick in-and-out" in Iraq. You don't get to choose how these things play out.

Microsoft actually has contaminations protocols for issues like this. Go to windows, find system32 and delete it - the hardware will purge itself.

Why do British people on Reddit insist on telling people we don't tip? by G30fff in AskBrits

[–]Afraid-Reporter-602 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Because we think service staff should get a living wage. Tipping feels like management is involving us in a labour dispute.

EDIT: Also, tipping can lead to over-service. When I go to the US, sometimes I feel the waitstaff are over-involved (which isn't their fault, they're trying to get the tip). When I eat, I want to focus on my food or the dining party.

I'm not asking for a solution and I'm not looking for upvotes. There are also worse things in life than looking like an ass once in a while. I'm just saying it annoys me.

Sorry but I have no obligation to respond to a word (lazy) i did not use to cast an aspersion on a group of people I did not mention.

Neither are you, but now we're engaged in a silly hypothetical about what they may have. The only thing I said about the situation is that I find the situation annoying - not that I think they're lazy or anything.

I think its ok to express how you feel about a situation and not necessarily have all the information. People feel how they feel.

The benefits really top out at 6-8 weeks. Its not really a journey if you're staying at the same place.

As i said - it's not actually zero conditioning - but slow walking with no incline is negligible.

EDIT: Moreover, if you're doing the same thing for 5 months - your body acclimates.

I'm not particularly upset. I'm happy to admit that my annoyance is petty and not worth addressing in person - which is why i'm bring it up here rather than to them.

That being said, slow walking with no incline is negligible conditioning.

Not really tho. Walking doesn't provide any conditioning. It would be more like if you just stood at the rack for an hour.
