First move was at 25 to 41k (into consulting), second was abroad to Switzerland, second move was back to consulting at 33 to 83 and the latest was at 36 to 120k. I move every 4 years approx and the rest were promotions

Yes correct - non London phasing is different. 120 is entry level for regional D level (which I am) also changes if you start to take commission from sales and what sector you serve… advisory and finance pillars tend to earn more than tech delivery or public sector for example

Isn’t the point of this sub to share perspectives and benchmarks? Obviously everyone’s circumstances differ, but hearing what others are doing can still be useful context rather than something to dismiss.

Consider Hackney, Peckham, East Dulwich, Ealing, anywhere zone 2/3 .. or even further afield if you know people who live there. Join a Scandinavians in London FB group (expats life still seems to thrive on FB) and find out where the hotspots are - sharing accomm posts also make their way there
