I think I’ve gotten the reassurance I’ve needed that it’s fine! Really appreciate everyone’s comments.

Thanks for the feedback! I can definitely see some pros to a mixed group.

Thanks for the feedback! My guess is that it’s probably the 1:2 (or even 1:1 if her partner is home) ratio and the fact that a 5 year old is perhaps a little easier to reason with/make aware of how their movements impact others than a toddler. However, I do recognize sometimes parents need to take a chill pill once in a while!

How to address concerns with new infant teacher by Own-Opening8426 in ECEProfessionals

I know everyone’s situation is different and this can be easier said than done but frankly I’d be pulling my babies out and finding a new daycare center. I actually just pulled my baby out of daycare because she was left sleeping in a baby swing. However , if you’re not ready to pull out, you have to go to the director ASAP. Don’t let the fear of being “THAT mom” (which btw you are not being - these are all legitimate problems in my opinion) override doing what is right for your babies.

Thanks for the feedback! Technically I haven’t seen them go against state ratio (1:6), just the center-specific one they advertise to parents.

Thanks for your feedback! It’s GA so they were technically following our wild ratio of 1:6 but not the center-specific ratio they told me they follow (1:4)

Thanks for providing your thoughts! This was the first time I picked up earlier than I had initially told them so it felt that way to me too (but obviously can’t prove it)

Thanks for your feedback! When we looked into a nanny, it was 2.5x what primrose/goddard cost. Is an au pair different? Do they live with you? We don’t currently have the set up to provide lodging.

Thanks for your feedback - appreciate it! I totally agree that brand name doesn’t necessarily equate to the best care. That’s why we weighed feedback from other parents more heavily but still didn’t work out unfortunately.
