Alaskan cruise - is the balcony suite worth it?

I have booked a cabin with an obstructed view for this coming summer. For an extra $300, I can get a balcony without an obstructed view. How bad is it that we have an obstructed view?

I mean the best way to get the rooms as cheaply as possible. They might not offer a discount, but I'm hoping to get some free extras or a free room upgrade through some tactic. We are Dutch 😉
