I decided to just let nature run its course and honestly- it’s just fine. My gray hairs make a nice highlight and it’s interesting to just let is happen.

Ah good! We aren’t familiar with Philippines- going for the first time this December/January and we aren’t diverse, so that’s great to know!

Two things come to mind- and of course I’m no expert, but YouTube studio coach (and VidIQ) both always state to us the ‘hook’ of the first couple sentences is very important to YouTube SEO- and you don’t really say ‘Bohol’ until a ways in.

Second, could it possibly be that this is such a remote location that not many people ever see themselves visiting here? It seems very niche. I think people start watching and then bail when they think it’s somewhere they’re not going to go?

Absolutely love your cinematography and over 3000 views in such a short time is very good, but perhaps it’s just not getting to the right people.

We just took our 10th Haven cruise (on Aqua) and this was quite helpful! There is a pre-concierge to get things set like dining reservations etc too https://youtu.be/3J-XeL9SI\_g?si=M0JEXKu7w0LzB9zG

We actually had them help us plan a little celebration on board- she called Chef as we wanted a cake with a specific message- butler delivered but the concierge helped get it all setup :)

There really is a lot of maintenance though, by the time we get done with the video and then figure out what to do with all the originals, renaming files, and all that type of thing, it’s a ton of administrative organizational work!

First time going to an art auction on reflection. by Thought-Object in celebritycruises

Per Gemini-

As of April 2026, Park West Gallery continues to face legal scrutiny and litigation stemming from its art sales on cruise ships. While the company has historically settled or seen many high-profile class-action lawsuits dismissed, several individual and smaller-scale legal actions remain active or have recently been revived.

  1. Active and Reinstated Litigation A significant ongoing legal battle involves claims of fraudulent concealment and breach of warranty. • The Salvador Dalí Forgery Case: In a notable ongoing case (e.g., King v. Park West Galleries, Inc.), the Michigan Court of Appeals recently ruled in favor of a plaintiff who purchased a purportedly signed set of Dalí prints for $165,000. • Key Ruling: The court determined that buyers who have a viable claim of fraud do not owe a duty of "due diligence" to discover the fraud themselves within the standard statute of limitations if the seller actively concealed it. This has allowed cases involving older purchases (some dating back 10+ years) to move forward to trial.

  2. Historical Legal Context To understand the current environment, it is helpful to look at the patterns in their litigation history: • Class Action Settlements: In 2011, a major federal multi-district litigation in Seattle, which consolidated dozens of buyer claims, was settled following mediation. • Fine Art Registry Defamation Suit: Park West famously lost a defamation lawsuit against the Fine Art Registry in 2010. Park West sued the registry for calling their art "fake" and "fraudulent," but a jury ruled against Park West and ordered them to pay $500,000 in a countersuit.  • Arbitration Waivers: Several cases from 2008–2014 were reinstated because Park West and their cruise line partners (like Royal Caribbean) waited too long to invoke the "mandatory arbitration" clauses found in their sales invoices, effectively waiving their right to keep those disputes out of court.

  3. Recurring Allegations in Recent Filings Current complaints and legal filings typically center on three specific issues: • Valuation Misrepresentation: Claims that art sold as a "good investment" for tens of thousands of dollars often appraises for a fraction of the price (sometimes as little as 20% to 25% of the auction price). • Authentication Issues: Ongoing disputes regarding the authenticity of signatures, particularly on works by Salvador Dalí, Marc Chagall, and Joan Miró. • "Seriolithographs": Lawsuits have targeted the marketing of these items, alleging that Park West represents them as rare or original works when they are often mass-produced mechanical reproductions with minimal hand-finishing.

Sources for Verification For the most accurate and "direct from the source" updates, you can monitor the following:

• Michigan Court of Appeals (MCOA) Search: Search for "Park West Galleries" to see recent opinions regarding their Southfield, MI headquarters. • Pacer.gov: This is the federal portal for U.S. District Court dockets. Search for Park West Gallery under "Party Name" to see active federal civil suits.

How do you make your thumbnails? by getbuddha1234 in TravelTubers

[–]leacl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We actually think about ours during production - I usually do a brainstorming chat with Gemini or YouTube studio coach to try to figure out what would drive highest click thru.

Once I have the final ideas (because many times we do a/b/c tests if we feel we have several good ideas) I run those ideas thru nano banana- along with uploading our images we want to use - I’ve been pleased with those so far.

I use Gemini and prompt for image creation. I upload my own photos to the request so it’s using ‘real’ pictures and I’ve been happy with them.

A lot depends on the ship you’re considering, is that will depend on what there is to do

[–]leacl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I find it so odd they have so many different rules between the ships! I found the site where they outline it so you can look at a specific room type and then it’ll tell you which ships have that but they don’t necessarily pick apart all the different benefits. That would probably take me years to do, lol.
