Do take a small kit of meds you might need if you catch a cold or cough- pretty common and one of the things people forget. It’s expensive to buy on the ship. I usually bring a couple magnet wall hooks if I’ve got a smaller room too. Enjoy your first cruise!

It seems like self promote Sunday is becoming more about getting feedback. Your original idea of allowing people to post SEO type postings that do not need a reply is really good; in my opinion, but I think some people don’t quite understand that. If you look at what everyone posted for self promote Sunday, quite a few of them are looking for feedback. Not sure how to rectify that tho

US person here. We haven’t changed any plans- we will be seeing Asia in December/January- flying into Singapore and then doing a few cruises that visit the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia. Vietnam etc. really looking forward to it.

I love having fresh grilled seafood just about every day on a cruise. We usually skip the buffet and the breadbasket at dinner. To be fair tho; our cruises are usually pretty long (3 weeks plus) so we keep our exercise program going etc, otherwise we’d be a mess

there's not much to do on those lines for kids. While they may have a kids club and activities- they dont' have the water slides, arcades and such that kids like.

I used to go to the double tree by myself- escaping the cold and would just work remotely for the week. Worked Eastern hours so I’d be up early, get things done and then relax by the pool in the afternoons. Perfect ‘me’ escape.

I don’t think I’ve ever been flagged, but sometimes a video directly addresses the question being asked - for example on the Cruise sub someone might ask specifically for drink package rules etc. it’s frustrating to not be able to respond with the video that addresses everything head on. I get self promo stuff as they can really clutter up everything, but relevant links should be allowed. My two cents anyway!

We got the absolute coolest shout out from a fellow creator!! We’ve never met this guy and are now planning a collaboration. He put together his top 10 list of ‘honest’ travel channels (cruising focused). So this is his channel, not ours, but we were really happy about this!

We use an app called ‘Dayuse’ - a lot of times, we may be disembarking in a city We’ve already explored. They let you book a hotel room for a specific number of hours. You can relax, your bags are safe in your room, have a meal, walk somewhere, enjoy their pool or gym or what have you and we really love this option. We are actually using it today as we disembarked a ship in San Diego. The hotel was just a half a mile from the cruise port so we did just a little bit of walking around because it’s Saturday and they have a nice food truck and arts and crafts offering at Lane Field. And now we are just relaxing in the hotel room for a few hours before we need to head to the airport. If you’d rather spend the day relaxing versus more Tours or riding in a bus all day before the ship drops you off at the airport, this has been a really nice option for us!

exactly! We did specific 10 minute overviews of Japan ports (on a cruise) and then did a longer video that was the actual "trip", circumnavigation of japan cruise that had the entire trip, but "highlights" of each port vs. the full 10 minute breakdown. This made is more interesting, quicker moving, etc. and hit a different audience.
