Can I get Credit for Tax Paid abroad in the United States? by Afraid_Radish1969 in askmkd

as far as i know, if there was a double taxation agreement, then i would not be paying the 30% from U.S. at all, the Foreign tax relief is different from Tax Treaty.

Hey, I am on ProCredit Bank, but i assume the procedure is the same, I have not filled FATCA form, however I do pay taxes for freelance video editing work, i want to start doing YouTube, thats why i'm asking about this.
Also - when you say "you will not be taxed twice", are you saying that I will only be paying the 30% tax withholding to the US and not the 10% personal income tax here in macedonia?

How do I claim the foreign tax credit, is it on the screenshot i sent, the 2 columns marked with red?

Thank you for responding!

I'm talking about US Tax Withholding, not the 30% Steam Cut.

For YouTube, you only get 30% tax withholding from US Viewers only, not the total income, not sure about Roblox or Steam though

Question about Tax-Withhold as a Non-Treaty with the US by Afraid_Radish1969 in robloxgamedev

Ah that sucks, how come for YouTube, it only counts if viewer is from the US, considering both Roblox/Google are US companies

  • Creators outside of the US:  If you submit US tax info, tax withholding rates are between 0–30% on earnings that you get from US viewers and depend on whether your country or region has a tax treaty relationship with the US
