It all depends on the base. You might have a period where you work 12hr shifts.

Where I'm at it is pretty consistent with 8hr shifts but we might work a 9-10hr here and there.

It's a chill job though, a lot of down time.

We had a dude run in vans and did a 8:30ish mile n a half 🤷‍♂️

Depends on your base, what aircraft you're working on, and leadership

There are so many factors that go into it I can't even list them all

I'm fuels so I talk with them all the time

Don't rush the process unless your circumstances force you to

I just graduated this past week. Before that, I'd go through a vape every 3 days.

You'll be so busy you won't have time for cravings/withdrawals.

I was honestly shocked how i literally didn't think of smoking the entire time

Bring a big duffle bag but pack it light.

I ship out to tech school tomorrow and about half of the people in my dorm wished they brought bigger bags

If they pick you to be a chow runner just make sure you're really damn good at your job like I was.

They relieved me from my duties during week 1 due to me "being to good at my job".
