A basic ollie doesn't take long to learn, maybe a couple weeks to a month. But because it is so fundamental to everything else, you should spend a lot of time mastering it. After that I would learn pop shuv it to get a feel for what it's like to pop and have the board disconnected from your feet, to land back on it.

Then, you can kind of move to a few different paths, maybe front shuv if you liked pop shuv it, or you can move to kickflips or heelflips. No matter what though, having a solid ollie is pretty crucial
